On this day we explored offbeat Oman. We came to know about the thousand-year-old historical relations between India and Oman. We visited Bat, Al-Ayn in the Al Dahira Governorate of Oman. Arabab or Kafil in Arabic means Sponsor in English. These Omani people are very helpful & down to earth. Omani people are good at Hospitality. Indian's are called hindi in Arabic & country India is called Hind by Arabs. Language Hindi, they call hindi only.. We have a family business very old shop in Muttrah souq name :- VISHANDAS MATHRADAS & PARTNERS CO. near Muscat Pharmacy, Muttrah souq. Our Indian name Company was Established in 1952. My father came to Oman after India & Pakistan partition in the year 1947. So if you have time, do visit this old shop if you visit Muttrah souq. My 2 brother's are running the shop. Wow lovely...seems like any normal Indian village. The Dates plantation reminds me my school days when I used to visit Durgapur at my uncle's place during winter. We used to venture out crossing the front main road from his bungalow and entering to the paddy field with long trail to reach Dates plantation village. Superb it was nice down memory lane. Nice.
