I have been to Begum Restaurant, Al Khuwair, so many times, that I have lost the count. The Royal Chicken Biryani is amazing to say the least. Each and every other dish is so lovingly made that it's an absolute delight to your palate. Please keep some place in your stomach for some of the unforgettable sweet dishes at the end of your sumptuous meal.

Coming from an arab : The food looks very good but cmon its not authentic as the guy in charge said. Although chicken tikka biryani is a good idea and generally tastes good but it never beats biryani cooked in a big pot by a biryani master and chicken with bones > tikka

The food might be good n undeniable tasty as well. But wouldn't say authentic way, because gravy n some mix are already prepared separately, upon orders it mixed upto serve the final dish, whichever it may be. Even the biryani it seemed like fried rice, end a topping of rice authentic has to be layered n DUMmed, the Currys Roasts everything. Nowadays ready to cook (gravies of Various dishes are available) so restaurants too are using the same concept. They have to do it to save wastage Reheating could result in taste variation n even over cooked. Agree restaurants cannot afford to do it that way, as they have to give as fresh as possible. Otherwise from looks it definitely looked mouth watering. I am a Mumbaikar from India, living n working in Saudi Arabia
