Mario did good no complaints on that he definitely impressed me there. Idk his music as well as Mario’s. To me it’s judging them on 2 different criterias. I never felt Omarion was a great singer he is an entertainer who does some singing some dancing where Mario is a singer singer. I didn’t expect Omarion to sound like Mario n didn’t expect to see Mario dancing n having background dancers like Omarion. They both did what I expected. Appreciate the comment. If I said it wrong I apologize but I wasn’t necessarily comparing rnb verzuz to rap verzuz as much as verzuz is fair game for whatever you have contributed to music movies entertainment n showcasing u. At no point has Omarion ever been mentioned as a singer singer. He is an entertainer who happens to sing. It would be unfair to judge him by the same criteria as Mario who sings. Omarion or part of him is the dancing singing showmanship in his performance so for me that is what I’m judging him on. I expected Omarion to play up to other stuff not stand in the middle of the stage with a mic stand n serenade the crowd. That isn’t playing to his strengths. I was more so like come on Mario we have seen enough verzuz to know if u want it to be in one lane ur in the wrong spot. That was my rap comparison. Dipset came to verzuz trying to do 20 hits n lox came with 20 records n dipset complained that they didn’t have hits they weren’t doing their hits n kiss said I’m doing our records anything that is apart of our name is our record to do. That was all I was trying to convey. Shoutout to the shower comment. Everyone sounds good in the shower is the saying 😂 tho. I know I’m pretty good sounding in the shower 😂 I agree to a certain point with ur statement. Everyone plays a role in an artist being who they are. Record company, artist team n consumer n all 3 work to make ppl who they are. My expectations for artists vary. I don’t put Aaliyah (RIP) Mya Ciara Ashanti in the same lane as Brandy Monica Faith Whitney Mariah etc. they both have a part in music n both have a lane that serves ppl but if former do a verzuz against the latter it’s unreal expectations to put Mya n Faith in a verzuz n expect Faith to dance like Mya or Mya to sing like Faith. That is what happened with Omarion n Mario. Omarion I have never thought of as some great singer he is an entertainer who will dance n sing. Mario is a singer who I expected to sing n not dance. They both did what my expectations were. I didn’t grade them on what the other persons strengths were but simply on what I know them to be n did they do it. I caught the replay of versus. I didn’t stay up and watch that. My opinion: Ray J sounded a mess. So did everyone else on stage with him. Sammy sounded good when singing Rays song, but he could have sung his own songs better, all that runner around he was doing doing didn’t help his vocal abilities. Now to Mario and Omarion… Omarion was Cringy! Mario, got out there and Really did his thing. Mario was definitely hitting his notes!

Ray J was not good. I didn’t want to mention in my recap but I told my wife he is using his baby as a shield 😂 I like how pleasure p sounded it but they were wild for the time they took up. Omarion extra antics like the mic stand n the watermelon were way too much but everything else with the dancing n back up dance singers I expected. Mario did sound great. Omarion is a studio singer period the man can't sing lets keep it a buck so it was suppose to be Raw Vocal versus Raw. Omarion is an Entertainer Mario is a Vocalist some people need all the antics and distractions to cover up their non vocal abilities granted people do pay to get entertained but the vocals the familiar hits is what people wanted Mario floored this the only thing i didn't agree with is the lateness and the over competitiveness that got to be a little too much in the end i would pay to go see Mario but not Omarion. Good thing he didn't bring summer walker out she would have walked the floor with Omarion another L for Omarion hope they never have to perform that song live

Right that is my exact thought Mario is a singer singer n Omarion is an entertainer who happens to sing n dance. Omarion did just what I thought he would. I don’t expect to be blown away by his vocals. I guess my expectations were a lot different than others. U can’t blame Omarion for doing what Omarion would do in a normal show. Blame swizz n Tim for putting them against each other in a verzuz. I didn’t get ppl mad at Omarion for doing Omarion. If he grabbed a mic stand n tried to serenade the crowd ppl would roast him. He went out there n did what he always does. There are a lot of artists who sound better in studio than live. I get it n listen to them judging them against what I expect of them not the competition they compete against that is unfair to both acts

😂😂😂 I’m not about to argue my stance. I went into verzuz knowing they are 2 different artists with different catalogs different stage shows stage presence n music videos. They both did what I anticipated them doing. I judged Omarion based on the 20+ years I have seen him on tv n he did that. I didn’t expect him to do what Mario does that ain’t him. At no point in his 2 decade career has anyone ever said Omarion is a singer. He is a performer who happens to sing. He makes good music to me n that was all my expectations of him were. Going in what were ur expectations of him? Aside from u not liking my take hopefully it won’t prevent u from subscribing to the channel n hopefully enjoying some of my other content more 😂 who knows

I said Mario clearly out sung him. I said Omarion is n never has been known as a singer in his 20+ years in music. He is an entertainer who happens to do some singing. I recapped what I saw. Jeremih sounded bad really bad Mario n tank sounded great. Outside of the watermelon incident n the grinding the mic stand Omarion did what I figured he would. I never said Omarion one I said I preferred his music his studio albums n catalog over Mario’s n knew it more going into verzuz. Nothing changed. I appreciate the laugh tho. I mentioned that Jeremih sounded bad. I said Mario sounded great n Omarion doesn’t sound as good as him. I just gave a recap on what I saw. I didn’t go into it expecting Omarion to blow me away vocally. In his 20+ years his name has never been synonymous with that he is an entertainer who happens to sing. I expected to see dancing backup dancers some singing some antics. I like his studio songs more than Mario’s n are more familiar with it. I'm going have to agree to disagree on your opinion on Omarion ability to sing. Use your ears sir, no matter what didn't work his voice shouldn't of suffered that bad. I was actually an Omarion fan but was sadly disappointed he's strictly a studio singer...I'm glad your wife knows real music and is a true Mario fan like myself bc nothing can replace real talent which Mario has proven so please let her school you lol btw Mario constantly use the guitar player asking the dj to stop his music and also sung without any music at all.....this is my 1st time watching so I'm not gonna judge you too much lol but I think you need to rewatch this one lol

I have never thought of Omarion as a singer. He is an entertainer who happens to sing. So judging them by the standard of singing n not what they are known for to me is unfair. He delivered on what I expected of him some singing some dancing lost is stagemanship. When Keyshia n Ashanti had their verses I was judging Keyshia on singing cause she is a singer. I love shani but I never saw her as a great singer she sings n has great records so I just wanted her records to be close to the studio version.
