Ombre and Filigree Nail Art

Hiya Duck,
So today I’m going to show you an ombre and some filigree design work.
We’re gonna start off by applying our base coat for ULTIMATE adhesion. For our ombre we’ll start off by using the colour Kurt, we’re gonna do one coat on only half of the nail. Then using the Fay’d brush, blend the colour down the nail. We’re going to take Ibiza, pop that on the bottom half of the nail and blend up instead.
We’ll do a second coat of each colour repeating the process from before and then top it off with a matte top coat.
For the filigree we’re going to take void, so that we get a nice contrast, and a Cassidy detailer brush to create these fine line design. We’ll take a little bit of glossy top coat and pop that on parts of the filigree to make them shiny.
I’ll finish by giving it a wipe over to take off any sticky layer from the black.

This is stunning!! My Cassidy detailer and Lily liner arrived today!! They are amazeballs!! I moaned a lot when we couldn’t get deliveries to NI. Wonderful design, as usual. I'd love to see that in a neon pink or neon blue combo. Here in the US they have a colour like called 'neon safety yellow' that is used for warning signs for school zones, some Dept. of Transportation signs for construction zones, and on their safety jackets and helmets; also reflective tape on jackets/pants, etc.

Adam dude you really know your nail stuff. When I saw the thumb nail photo I was awe it’s acrylic (I can only use gel due to the smell 🥺🙄❄️) have to say was happy to see it was your beautiful polish being used. Love the colour combo but after Adam said it the combination reminded me of the really old safety vests they had before they made them orange with yellow stripes

I learned that I'm using my ombre brush HORRIBLY wrong! Haha I do have a question though... No matter what brush I use, I always end up with a drop on the end of the brush...so when I go to do line work, it always starts out real thick and then gets thin... How do I combat this?

Have you heard of the newest issue with the uv light used to cure the gel? They are now saying it can cause skin cancer. Do you think sunscreen protection would help minimize the damage? Sorry I just saw a news story where this woman got melanoma on her thumb...
