I just saw them in NYC last night....friggin AWESOME concert. They played three songs from the new album and this was one of them. This song incidentally seemed to be the highlight of the night. I only wish radio stations in NYC would be playing them

I saw them in New York City March 8th, 2011. I agree that the live interpretation was much better. They rocked the house. The band seemed to be genuinely shocked at how well they have been received by their fans in North America. Awesome show!

It actually has to do with a prominent Catholic speaker, whom I had the pleasure of meeting briefly. Key way to take link it back to her is the brick scene and the story of how a group of nuns who write cases of abuse on stones and throw them into a pond.

OMD wrote this song about my Auntie who is THE "Sister Marie Gabriel". I don't know for sure if this true......but the strange connections with my Auntie and this song is too much of coincidence. I Was directly told by her last year when a paramedic reconsigned her name.......?????? Sister Marie Gabriel was originally from Poland and she gave her life up to become religious mystic. Zofia Sagatis was her true name but she change her surname to Sophie Richmond in the 90's as she was well known to the media. She spent most her adulthood in London and retired in South Wales to be close to her family. She has written many books over the years and has tried to put her message across.Sadly, this truly inspiring women passed away in August 2014 to Ovarian Cancer. I have been inspired by her strength, wisdom, intelligence and her boundless energy. Look it up on wikipeda if youdon't believe me. Say a little prayer for Sister Marie Gabriel. It is a commentary on modern day Britain. Kids forced to grow up too fast, not prepared in any way shape or form for motherhood and thrust into a situation they are not equipped for. Sort of a happy ending here in that she at least looks like she might make a decent mother. Young ladies like this are in reality very resilient they just shouldn't have to be. By the way OMD, as always, brilliant!

@bilbosilbo I'm no teenager and married but my contraceptive failure is now three. The only hundred per cent is celibacy. And you know what I am almost jealous of the teens that got pregnant in my year at school. They now have kids going away to college and uni, I'm still dealing with nappies. Not to mention because they got jobs straight out of school instead of going to uni - they are in less debt and bought their houses before the prices went crazy. They are great mums.
