@@Sandouras Nomos have some of the most unique dials and color combinations so that is simply not true, it is literally the only factor stopping many people like me from ever buying one

@@kyledriscollmusic I find that their watches would look a lot more boring and conventional if they had smaller lugs. But yeah, it also makes it hard to find one that fits.

What is the point of "NIGHT" and "DAY" on the back of the rose gold reverso? Do those indicate anything in particular??

It’s a 24-hour subdial, and the labels show which half of the subdial corresponds to nighttime hours and which to daytime hours.

I dont get the issue with the fawxtina. Modern watches will never age to look like that, so you have to use it, if you want to give the watch a vintage look. Besides, it fits perfectly with the dial and differentiates this from the normal speedy. Also Tudor does the same, they just use gold indices so your eye sees a fawxtina of sorts, without them actually using fawxtina.

I agree. I think the problem with fauxtina* (I'm sick of that phrase) is that watch dealers and critics of Omega have been using that word to disparage the company. It's like finding a problem that isn't there. Similar to now how folks complain about AR coating on the outside. Anything vintage inspired should and normally does have muted colors. IMO it adds more contrast to the blue dial and makes the whole design more subdued.

Those first edition Reversos had a Tavannes movement. I recently found a Tavannes tank with said movement. Sadly it's too far gone to revive.😢
