Agreed, had a player score 62 goals, win the quadruple (prem, CL, carabao and FA cups), and come 2nd to a winger at Bayern who got 45 goal contributions, won Bundesliga and got knocked out by us in Quarter Finals of CL.

I find that average rating has a lot to do with it alongside other stats and trophies. If you watch the video carefully you'll notice that Obi Martin wasn't the highest rated player in any of his (Chelsea) seasons (I think I'm right maybe I missed one of them) so if he's not considered the best player in his domestic league, it makes little sense to award him a Ballon Dor. My strikers always win the Ballon Dor except when there's another player in my team (so far it's only been a winger) who has a higher match rating than him (FM 23 btw)

He switched to England u16 from Denmark u16 but then switched back to Denmark and played u17 in the same year lol. Guessing that means he's eligible to play for any of Nigeria, England or Denmark youth teams currently, and I think it's 3years between 15-21 which he'll have done by the time he's 18 to play for England u21 or Senior team which is where you lock your final football nationality. So it's basically up to his personal attachments, the FA's ability to convince him and whether he thinks there is a place for him in the squad like Folarin Balogun who switched to US because Harry Kane breathes.
