@@fortidogi8620 this was NOT dreamcast lol. It was the PS3/360 "remaster". Yipes said was incredibly disappointed they used this version instead of DC and didn't even practice. He couldn't even use his MAS stick. but he did it for the community... and still landed in the finals. This was the start of EVO and e-sports in general treating the MVC2 community (the community that created EVO in the first place) like shit. But thats another story to tell.

lennyjackson one rush down fuck up against a spam fuck up. This game is fun but for tournaments I should be split in 2 categories. Low-mid tiers and top tiers. Price money should be highest for mid/low since it requires actual skill and knowledge and just low money on top tiers since is just 3 patterns rush down, spam and pussy away. Mags, sto, sent, cab, blkh and striders.

Marvel Vs Capcom 2 was a broken mess. It wasn't really suited for competitive play, MVC3 was made with competition in mind so it was far more polished, not without flaws, but definitely a better game overall. People glorify MVC2 because of nostalgia, that's it.

I haven't watched this video/match in a few months. And I came back to re-watch that SEXY Strider Hiryu beastliness..but besides the last match (which is the one I came here to see), in the 2nd match, from 3:27-3:35..that usage of the Strider assist combined w/ Sentinel was amazing to watch. Glad to see that not all pro matches revolve around MSP/MSS/MSD/etc.. Clockw0rk's MvC2 matches are soo entertaining to watch =] glad to see that Strider can hold his own against the "god-tier" characters!

There's still lots of imbalances now - but the thing is that companies are *forced* to patch these things (well not so much now after EVO according to Capcom apparently)... So we may see the tide turn to how things were 15 years ago when this game was released. There just wasn't the available asset resourcing to do every game cabinet like that. I mean shit if that were the case we would have never had SF2 Rainbow edition. Right?

I mean his orb super (oroboros) is a level 3 in Ultimate so there's no way to constantly have it up and lock down virtually the whole match. Honestly that is gonna make striders game much different for umvc3. though everything else is pretty much identical to his mvc2 counterpart.
