4:24 here I can say , that white card is a made up card of 3 layers ( one card in the front with double sided arrow cutout then black paper or something attached half way fo that can be moved from behind switch mechanism and last card is with switch or some other mechanism. Trick is behind jar it goes originally and while it comes outside switch pressed and black thing turn from left to right.

You're only moving things at different distances from the camera. I mean if you put an object beyond the focal point of a glass of water, it will appear as inverted. But if you place it closer to the jar, it will show up normally. And I would feel a bit stupid trying to explain the first trick because everyone knows that if you place an object close to the camera it appears as bigger.
