Looks like he was able to save the young girl by transfering her mind into the older woman's body. Saved her but she now she's in another person's body, who is much older than she was. No a bad story.

I also have to take a minute to say that the special effects done on what must be a limited budget, when the street thug was bleeding to death, were absolutely top notch! Everything in this film was...the acting, the insanely well written plot that left me with so many questions and wanting to know more...all of it...such an awesome movie, on so many levels!

Last part felt like Tarantino and Dario Argento, because of the action. Been a long time since I saw some blood splatter in a gun fight. Hopefully and as it looked like, was practical effects, squibs. Been missing that in films since a long time.

5:10 -- Based on what happens next, I assume this is somehow a symbol for the restroom/toilet. But how in the world is that symbol for that? I must be missing something.

I had to pause & seriously zoom up, on the deaf girl's little drawing, it looked like a wonky little arrow, that was pointing towards the front window. Assuming she knows how to read & write, she could have written 'the toilet?'. I wouldn't have realised without your eagle eyed comment, well done on your part.

@@HookBeak_66 You're right: It does seem to be an arrow. I can't believe I didn't see that before. But now I'm more confused. Re-watching just that part of it, I see that the note she shows him at the door says something like, "Welcome to the building." This would suggest that she also lives in that apartment building. But if so, isn't it strange that she should want to use HIS restroom? Well, I guess the mysteries in life are what make it interesting.

I think she was part of the gang that broke in. But previous to that she had stayed outside, when they ransacked the first flat. This time she entered the second flat, & was lucky enough to walk out alive. I'm guessing the pretty girl with curly hair died.

Superb! Riveting! Derived from nothing that I know of. I think that it was Enrico Fermi, the physicist who said, "We don't have the money, so we'll have to be clever" and that goes for low budget drama productions. The storyline is clever, the script, acting and inventiveness all superior to Hollywood multimillion repetitive FX trash. Thank you for 16 minutes of great viewing.
