Remember that you can show support for those affected in Israel while still being pro-Palestine, and that being pro-Palestine does not mean you're also pro-Hamas. Israel is IM's home, and no doubt the Nova Festival attack hit them hard emotionally, given as these were just innocent people there to enjoy some psytrance and have a good time, not unlike their own fans. For those of us not directly involved in the conflict, all we can do is enjoy the music, show our support, and hope that one day we can achieve peace, but unfortunately it seems that day isn't coming any time soon.

I am American of Danish descent. I oppose my nation's spending on war machines. I protested in 2001 when the US began dropping bombs on Afghanistan, 2003 in Iraq, and Palestine by the Israelis throughout. It has taken me many years to come to terms with the reality that people across the world of all faiths, ethnic groups, and locales do not hate. People in general (the vast majority of the world) want basic things: Food in their belly, a nice place to rest their bones, and purpose. We share sports, foods, culture like arts and music, and mostly above all we share empathy. Many Jews across the world and in Israel itself are opposed to this. A Jewish journalist (activist) in Israel just posted a video in hiding from a mob of Zionists about the state inside the country: The government has martial law powers; they are emptying villages across the country, both Jewish and not, as attacks on the borders increases. Opposition to the war is censured and essentially illegal. It is a complete police state with drone surveillance, tanks rolling, troops marching. They kind of expect a massive insurgence and that's why they are not assaulting Gaza on the ground.

I am not religious, nor ethnically invested in this fight. I am, however, very learned about the conflict and know from personal acquaintance and friendship with Jews and Muslims alike that their religions are about love, growth, and prosperity on a world God gave us. Muslims specifically consider themselves 'strangers on the land", echoed by the Jews who say they are not allowed to hold land by dictate from God. The Zionist movement (who are mostly radical Christian right-wing psychopaths here in the USA) is not rooted in scriptures at all but political expediency in economic expansionism. The movement is very very old and has been spearheaded by elitist 'black nobility' families from Europe. The Jews are as much victims in all this as the Muslims are. Radicalization of any religion has been the bane of peace since the creation of religion but the cure is the religion itself. I have faith that all of this will play out (atrocities, sorrows, and joys) and humanity will be better for it. I pray for Palestine, and its people, and all of the people of the world because I see this conflict escalating to include billions if we do not stop and think instead of acting on emotions.
