I love that you picked up several things about Tae/V on your first reaction to his solo work. 1. People tend to describe Tae’s voice as smooth and warm, honey like. Creamy is similar or adjacent to it😆 It is my fav version of his vocals though he can do high notes just as magnificently well which are seen in ‘Stigma’ or ‘Your Eyes Tell’ for eg Interestingly, he can also do a growly raspy voice, like in ‘Jump’ ‘Attack on Bangtan’ ‘Ma City’ as some egs Tae has the most versatile and amazing vocals which is one of the many reasons he is my bias 2. Tae has a laid back, chill personality. He’s well known to be the elegant, romantic and gentle old soul of the group. Soft spoken, down to earth with a huge love to bring happiness to everyone around him; he’s called BTS Happiness Preacher 3. Tae WAS nervous as even though this performance was broadcasted later in the Layover promo, it was recorded very early on. Probably one of the first times he sang the tracks from his debut solo album live, so understandable. You should see him in performances that he has grown into, for eg ‘Singularity’ live in Tokyo. Deadly I tell ya😅 4. This band came together for this performance, hand picked by Tae as he is a musician’s musician. He loves instrumentals which you will see when you listen to Layover. This is also why the solo sax part was long, Tae loves everyone to shine. It’s one of the best part of who he is 5. Tiny Desk has rules for anyone to perform on their show for eg they have to use Tiny Desk mics which is calibrated to highlight any imperfections, which is why not all artists dare to perform on it, unless they are secure with their vocal abilities because there is NO hiding anything! 7. MV I would suggest either ‘Singularity’ or ‘Fri(end)s’ Please continue to enjoy Tae’s amazing talent as well as his lovable personality 💜

He used to play the sax in his early days and has continued to play the sax and trumpet. He studied Jazz in college and that's how he fell in love with it. I knew his album would have a jazz feel, I wasn't surprised at all. Please watch his MV's, especially the one with Yeotan Slow Dancing EP.814 | Mnet 230914. He is only on for a few seconds, but seeing V and Yeotan on stage is so cute. His voice is so sultry!

I am so happy you watched this version of V! It made me fall in love with him all again. For Us is my favorite, which was the last one. Its gorgeous. He also has a live performance of Slow Dancing that has his dog Yeontan(Tannie) on stage with him if you want adorableness. ALSO his album is pretty much dedicated to his adorable pupper. Tiny Desk is a cozy setting. Tae really created the mood well and gave a powerful yet intimate performance. This Tiny desk performance is iconic. I love your reactions and interesting that u mentioned Daniel Caesar. Tae mentioned him and his music too in his Weverse lives. Tae has mv for the songs in his Layover album. My only critic about Layover is that this album is way too short!!! Summer cosy jazzy vibe with his honey voice as warm as being rolled in a blanket in front of an open fire... The is an mv for each song of Layover, so if you like FOR US (the last song of this perf) go for it! But all are cool, and he's gorgeous, like GORGEOUS. V loves jazz since trainee days. This album was created by staff after he told them what he wanted. He has a hard time writing songs. We been waiting 4 yrs. ha ha. V is chill. V plays the sax. He knows how to play violin and trumpet too. He still learning both though. Slow Dancing - love. V is a baritone and has an amazing vocal range. He is known for this actually. If you want to see his stage persona you need to see Kim Taehyung burning the stage with his charisma by VTS OT7 (the go to channel for all V content). The media named him the idol of idols as he has been cited by most idols as their role model and also gesture book king because other idols watch his fancams to learn how to perform on stage.

You picked up on V’s nerves. This Tiny Desk was released late in his Layover promotion but I believe it was the first live he recorded, definitely his first time with this band who were assembled by him. BTS have a band called Ghost who they used for the BTS Tiny Desk but I believe as soloists they each assembled their own teams. You have seen Jimin’s Rebirth and Slow Dance, there was some guys from Suga’s tour band in that. As others have recommended I’d like to also suggest A Dingo Story. It’s a KZbin show where a celebrity makes a regular person’s dream come true. One lucky ARMY got to hang out with V for a day, it’s super sweet! As for V music videos I like Fri(end)s and IU’s Love Wins All. It’s not a duet V is just an actor but it’s a MUST see as far as I’m concerned. I promise you won’t regret it!
