Yes they should and they are all foraging more every day. There was a video last week showing Leo foraging for plants in the grass. He was pulling them out roots and all as was Libby. They love to eat new shoots, roots, twigs, young leaves and the outside of the new bamboo leaves. They Eat bark that provides them with minerals , especialy calcium. I have seen them eat spider's egg sacs and they roll caterpilars between their hands to remove the spines/fur before they enjoy them. They are on the move when foraging and the VOs are faily stationary. There is not enough foraging material in their park territory to support healthy lives. If the VOs did not augment their diets they would venture out into the Siem Reap community or they would beg from the tourists.The Park landscapers need to plant more wild fruit trees and wild native plants but that is a very costly project. There are many wild troops living in the forest surrounding the temples.@@gabrielatheodorescu688

The baby knows its breaking troupe rules if it eats the fruit when the adult has already gone for it and is waiting to ge given it, he can inspect it because monkeys inspect things with their mouths anyway but he can only eat it if the parent animal leaves it or residues of it on the ground. There are exceptions when theres enough fruit for the whole group to eat at the same time but generally the baby is being regularly fed milk by its mother so it is usually the most nourished in the group even though its fascinated by other kinds of food but it doesn't need it if fed normally by its mother. The only thing that makes some of the large females in this group different is that they have been the most constantly stalked for three generations and close up and it has made their behaviour strange. They stop looking after the baby much much sooner than is normal and they deprive it of milk and they behave in all kinds of abnormal ways compared to groups followed just a couple of hours from a distance.

@@coreywilkinson2778 some of them are ex-pets that have had to get used to the wild again but captive monkeys aren't rased by their own parents or integrated with a troupe so I have no idea what a reference to captive monkeys has to do with my comment. Primates that are permanently filmed and stalked close up start acting differently than other troupes, it's like some of them (like libby with Leo) know pushing the baby away will give them a break from it because the camera will keep following the baby so they start weaning them much earlier than most macqac mothers and sometimes they are being outright brutal to them (which some of the vo's provoke off camera because dramatic videos get more views) and disappearing into the woods way more than is normal with an infant that young. Also for example infants and large monkeys play-fight, fully grown monkeys don't but Libby randomly started play-fighting with babies and even her own baby. They are effected by too much human interference. I don't know what the point of your comment was. Im just comparing the animals followed by some of this particular group of VO's and those not nearly so interfered with but just occasionally interfered with.

I'm not sure where the confusion is. Captive-bred monkeys do indeed raise their infants like any other monkey, & they establish a troop like any other troop. Troops in captivity are usually what people see in sanctuaries, zoos, or even farms that breed these animals for testing facilities. The troops living within the park behave similarly if not identical to captive monkeys. Neither has to worry about food shortages or any natural predators & they're "free" to come & go, but they're dependent on humans for food (survival). In return, they typically don't provide the same levels of maternal-infant care as wild monkeys do because wild monkeys have to forage for all food. It allows them to force independence much sooner & they have a higher infant success rate than wild monkeys. That's why you see these animals weaning sooner & aren't as protective as any wild troops would be. In fact, most monkeys that live near human population behave similarly. Most of the behaviors people have deemed abnormal simply aren't abnormal at all. I'm not here to speak on what you THINK "the VOs" are or aren't doing because there isn't enough evidence to prove it. Besides, it's completely irrelevant when you continue to financially support the content, the people who create the content, & everything that was or wasn't done to create the content. The bottom line is these animals behave like captive monkeys.

@@coreywilkinson2778 I thought you meant "pet monkeys", but you are right I have watched a lot of their content but I have also had two other channels (which were abuse of pets) taken down and many videos and that was something I couldn't do without finding them...But with this group, not the particular man you see in the video who let's you see his face, but two or three of this group of vo's videos have left in footage which is usually cut out where they make grunting noises in a concerted way that provoked libby into attacking Leo. Literally after a while Leo ran when he heard the grunting noise instead of trying to run when she started attacking him and those were the only times he escaped the attack. There's one video where Libby and Leo just sit in the rain for ages and a rock is hurled from behind the camera and hits her. But these channels for the most part are just following them around so although I reported the rock one and the attack one they were just a few seconds or minutes of an hour long video and they weren't taken down nothing happened. It's a tricky business because I feel I've learnt quite a lot from watching these animals but obviously at the same time I'm contributing to the channel so I shouldn't. I watch kunthea's channel because I think she is decent to the animals I don't mind watching that one so much. People in the comments seem to have nothing but evil to say about her because for some reason it gives their life meaning.

I love seeing this! This is one of the only videos I've seen of someone feeding the children or baby monkeys. They go threw some much abuse weening but then steal and take every bite of food the kids get or the bullies run over the weak and it's sad. I've cried watching some of the videos of kids starving. The moms want give them one bite but then want let them suckel. Its heartbreaking. Luno is a good baby!

Only one that walked on 2 legs was Kenzo because he had his hands full of grapes and he only took a few steps. Some of the others stood on 2 legs but they did not walk on 2 legs. Big difference.
