dog's getting into weed stashes is surprisingly common if you talk to vets. but ultimately, the vets are USUALLY more concerned about whether the pot brownies were chocolate or not. unless the dog ate a whole damn tray of pot cookies, not much to do but just let em sleep it off and keep an eye on em. if they ate a whole tray, the vets will give em activated charcoal to puke if they're responsive enough, or a stomach pump otherwise, to remove any as yet unmetabolized material, but that's about it. as to the fate of this particular dog, he's pretty stoned, but his tongue is still in his mouth and he doesn't have that hiphop groove head spasm yet, so i'd say he was probly fine after a good nights rest and a bowl of fruit loops in the morning, but idk just a guess.

There is so much bullshit online with regards to dogs. Take chocolate for example, first of all, it's DARK chocolate. My dog ate 6 milk chocolate easter bunnies and 4 bags of jordan almonds - he was fine, not even the runs. He was a labrador mix, approximately 75 lbs. Like humans, it also depends on the dog. My friend had a dog that couldn't stand being in the car. The vet prescribed Xanax, which made the dog almost psychotic and extremely agitated, the complete opposite of the desired effect. She then switched to pot cookies, ONLY for long car rides, and it worked perfectly - very small dosages, the dog never even fell asleep was still able to play fetch, but was just much more relaxed in the car. People generalize WAY too much. Educate yourself, watch your pet carefully, use small amounts, don't be a douche. The nut of a peach or a nectarine far more toxic than THC.

Had something similar happen to one of my girlfriends dogs, unless your dog eats a riDONKulous amount of cookies in the dozen and up area, you really aren't going to have much to worry about. You're dog is going to be out of it for about a day, hers was to the point of peeing in the bed which cracked me up cuz the damn dog slept on her side. This will pass (unless you're dog is unlucky enough to be allergic to it, but those reactions are a good bit different) and your dog will stumble about for another day or two like a new born colt. Just make sure and watch their water intake, I'm not saying they're forgetting to drink but... they are. 65 pound dog ate 6 or 7 of my cookies and lived just fine with no adverse effects. Just make sure and keep with them through that "no one's home" stage at the beginning.

This happened to my dog. I ended up paying $1,600 in Vet fees. All they did was give my dog an IV and let her sleep it off. They also mentioned something about giving her activated charcoal but that bottle is only $20. If this happens to your dog do not freak out. Just keep an eye on your dog to make sure asphyxiation does not occur. Provide them water and if you can get them activated charcoal. Do not let the vet capitalize off of your worrisome.

when I was a teen, we used to capture wild neighborhood birds in a box trap, and then blow marijuana smoke at them until we could see them exhaling the smoke from their nostrils, then turn them loose. They all looked perfectly okay as they flew away, no crashing or erratic flying maneuvers. By the way, avian respiration is much more efficient than mammals, so I am sure they got the drug in their blood. Also, none of the birds came back to the box trap.

Everyone got to chill in the comments. As a dog owner and medical marijuana patient I'd feel horrible if my dog consumed any of my meds. I love my dog and putting him in a state looking like the dog here would probably make me freak. No I don't know the effect it could have on his mind and body during a high since I am not a researcher in how weed effects animals. But as a dog owner finding my dog like that randomly would make me think he is really sick. Especially if I saw chocolate edibles wrappers around would make me take him to the vet. Same thing if anyone else thought my meds were just candies and consumed them randomly I would freak. I do put my meds away from anyone who lives or is a guest in my home because it is my preference to do so. I'm just a careful patient who isn't comfortable with putting my dog through that kind of high when he'd probably have more of a fun high while sticking his head outside my car window while we drive around the town :)
