Cupid was their debut song and for gg to make a name for themselves (especially at that time 4ish years ago) they had to appeal to what Korea liked. And Korea likes cute girl concepts. I mean look at DreamCatcher, they STILL are fighting for a foothold and the girl crush/hard concept has become very popular. I like everything OMG puts out even if it’s “cute” bc there’s a level of elegance to it and their music is theoretically interesting to me. Oh yeah. And Mimi spits fire 🔥

What I loved about the first few releases from OMG was that old Phil Spector "Wall of Sound" they employed. It just bowled you over with music and vocals. Plus I'm a sucker for anything with a marching band beat.
