You nailed it! This is old Slim Shady vibes with the raw emotion. It may not seem as technical as Em’s syllable count but that makes it more soulful. I think Pablo’s fascination with medieval bard lyricism transcends here. It’s actually more impactful when sung in our native language. For example, he used “Pangil” instead of “Ngipin”. “Ngipin” is a general term for “Teeth” but he used “Pangil” which means “Fangs” in english. Fangs are sharper, sounds more dangerous, and fits better to the song. It doesn’t just bite, it bit you with “Fangs” which has more “Pressure” (Presyon).

The line "pangil sa pangil" is translated to "a tooth for a tooth" in the song, but pangil is actually fang in English. I really love that line, especially the way Pablo sang it. In the first verse, it's like a warning. In the second, it feels like he's so ready to attack and kill. The alpha unleashed his savageness. Really, no holds barred.

Hi Pierre, thank you for this raving review of our Alphas work! Presyon indeed is fire! The album Pablo had said is intended yo be listened from start to finish as it is a story. I believe you listened to La Luna before. And now Presyon s o you are on track. Here’s the album track list: wala, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, (TBWCW), kumunoy, Kelan featuring Josue, Drowning in the Water (written by Pablo when he was 14yo) and Breathe (outro). This album is a journey of emotion and resolve, a masterpiece, I cannot pick a fave. TBWCW s the title track and it encapsulates the whole album! 2nd Album dropping 20 September, it is Laon!
