Just so you know, in Create a Team, if the board lose all confidence at the end of the season you get fired from your own team. It happened to me. You sign for an official team and you get to fight the team you made which you were fired from.

It's also very very easy to breach cost cap in the first season. I started midfield save and spent so insanely I ended up paying 15 million in fines because I breached the cost cap. (I clutched the championship at the end though)

Aarava help. The board's celebrations of getting into Q3 has put multiple holes in the shed and I'm not sure if we have enough wall left to count as having a wall, 7 people have splinters ranging from 0.002-5cm long.

I've started the same kind of save as you Aarav on the same settings. I'm at Monza season 1 at the moment, still no points but my drivers are now starting to get out of Q1 more regularly. Highest finish currently is P12 but we're slowly sneaking up to the midfield. Finances aren't quite as low as yours despite us having pretty similar upgrades to facilities etc so I'm not sure what's happened there! The grind will be definitely worth it once some points and podiums start coming in!

Maybe try focusing upgrades of the wings because with more downforce O'Ward might be able to keep it on the track. Of course tyre wear will increase slightly so maybe just do that for O'Ward and try to improve speed more than anything for bearman. Also you're putting a huge foucus on straight line speed so maybe try and get a bit more in the corners.

Just started season 2. Began with same settings as you. I developed non-stop at the beginning of the season. Focusing on underfloor, front wing then also upgrading others. I was near to points once or twice (eg Monza) as I focused heavily on high speed cornering and top speed. But was constantly finishing around 14-18th. Till I broke the cost cap. So I could only develop parts in emergency costing me a fortune and putting me in debt and also putting me more over the cost cap.meaning I got more fines. I ended up having to put the parts I began with on both cars for the last 3 races. For the start of season 2 I was in even more debt.(from -5m to -20m) Even after singing the highest paying sponsors I was still in -7m. So I would say don’t go over the cost cap really screws your finances.

Started an Audi save with Hulk & Pato. Finished 6 in my first season, highest finish was 8th and Pato failed to get a single point. He totalled the car 5 times pushing my over costcap for the last 3 races. Pato scored his 5th DNF in Vegas and his last two races were in a car made of spare previous parts and an engine & gearbox with just 14% left on them... Dumped him for Bearman for season 2 and attempting to bring in Checo (who is a free agent) to replace Hulk when his contract expires at the end of this year. First race in Bahrain Hulk was 7th and Bearman 10th. Better start!

Anyone playing the game atm, the contract system is broken. Check forums. If you offer or counter a contract you must use immediate response. (not 7, 14, 21, 28 days) other wise it thinks you haven't responded and you lose the contract.
