Yeeeeesss! This is a masterpiece. I love this song and the M/V so much. They're voices Han loneliness, Changbin maturin his hurt and Hyunjin rage dispear and tears really brake my heart. Thank you so much for this reaction!! I'm so glad you liked this song so much, what you said is exactly how I feel about it. This song hits hard. I think the idea of the Christmas Evel album is that you have different types of Christmas. You have the movie traditional happy gathering with family (whether that's by blood or friendship or however that presents to you) in 24 to 25. Then you have an MV that has Christmas theme but a song that says "yes, Christmas is great for some but work doesn't stop, people get (more) stressed during the holidays" and presents a more realistic view (maybe even a little Grinch-like) in Christmas Evel. And then you have this masterpiece that is Winter Falls that speaks to those who spend the holidays alone. Because the person they loved is no longer there (and I feel it's not necessarily a romantic relationship, because as far as I understand, it never specifies or even hints, neither the lyrics nor the MV). I read once a great interpretation of the final scene, how they all seem to be taking the burning of the phone booth differently. Some are happy, some are relived, some are a little sad, still clinging to that past. The MV portraits all those scenarios, because Christmas for a lot of people is not a happy time. So it's not only a masterpiece musically but also very important representation.
