Human beings are so complex. Certainly every genre has its origins and every artist, can take his personal approach to the genre. Activism in music is not a requirement, it’s a good option like many others, as music is a form of expression. There’s a lot music without lyrics, should we critique that aswell, there’s no message? when ppl go to the club are they going there to discuss, care or worry ? Ppl go for vibes, it’s only fair that this type of music should exist aswell!

Buju Banton should condemn Vybz Kartel , Tommy Lee , Alkaline and all these Jamaicans who sing about sex , murder , and drugs . Music is Africa and Africa is Music . The Jamaican history that he had forgotten or wasn’t thought should be his problem . If he claims we Africans are not free has he forgotten Jamaica is still under the crown 👑 of England ???
@ellaveldje71252 ай бұрын
but you are hypocrites Africa is indeed not free!!! plenty of countries come to do their shit there and leave the residents poor so what's your point?! If only your defense was so strong when the white man came to take half the population and disperse it, then you would now have no problem with your own people in the disporia ... because if anyone has to be mad , it is us😒

@alanMeplusYou buju can't condemn vybz kartel or Beenie man. Its all because of his jealousy. And Buju is not the man to condemn anyone about drugs because Banton was arrested in America for drugs and was imprisoned for 7 years. He was realised and deported to Jamaica. He has criminal record so he can't travel to America,Canada or even Europe. He needs practice what he preach and stop talking bad about people because he is not innocent. During the deal he was telling the drug dealers that he has 16 children and needs to feed them not knowing that the drug dealers are FBI. Stop having children all over the place like couscous .Now he is only worth $2 million. Buju is now a local champion.

No Afrobeats without men like Buju. He and other artist roamed the world to give strength and confidence to all. Tems is new but you won't remember her like a Buju or Jigsy King or Tenor Saw. These artists carried international music for a lot of artist today. There is no separate acrobats.

@@mohamednabieu7459 See your new to the culture age wise. The people that pave the way are always relevant, never a rumor. Tems is new, Buju is world wide world wide. The reason you don't know this is because you truly don't respect the past. Everything in this era will be enough to make some money. Buju is forever is their difference and he has so much when you look him up. Afrobeats is a copy of dancehall, just a newer tunes.

Revolutionary is a Buju who was against colonizers for the people. I don't really know the other artists.

what are you even talking about ? Buju has nothing to do with afrobeats, don’t be silly
@Channel-xc9kx2 ай бұрын
@@jeffreyrediel he has everything to do with Afrobeats. Afrobeats is new to society. In Buju time was a make or beak the way. Guess what ? He likes others pave the way. African music or beats has been a thought because reggae is the foundation that reached government, help poverty and a platform to securely promote Afrobeats.

I think Buju Banton's view is based on jealousy. We all African brethren. Go anywhere in world,get on stage and let Afrobeat get on stage then you will know the difference. Things evolve Buju. You might make a lickle money during your time but Afrobeat is killing it worldwide. Respect Raggae,Respect Afrobeat
