Could have been worse Frank, you could have been cutting the lawn with a pair of scissors... better luck later in the week I hope 😢

Turtles everywhere in the trout creek at the moment. I dare say bait fishing there would turn up only shellback fish.

Yep, the warmer weather here has certainly got them moving again. Those two were long necks too, which are far less common in SA than the short neck ones. All a pain but.

Frank is that the one that you found a real orange golden car for the pet goldfish that somebody released in that pond it's not far from the other pond we know is great that it bounced back this one. It's kind of sad when they do a fish kill I know that they are pissed but someone or they must be ending up there somehow so basically they should leave them if they're not really going to end up in proper Waters. In South Australia should let it be more fun to catch carp in a special Lake because a good fighting fish. I wish that they brought out a fishing licence and with the money that they do they restock car stuff like that just like what they do in Melbourne stock up the creeks Ponds and things like that so it's more fun to fish. Get the kids off technology in back into nature by fishing bike riding motorbike jumping stuff like that they need to bring that stuff back.

Yes - I suspect that the orange goldfish was either one of the victims of the fish kill, or someone caught it as I haven't seen it now for months. I would not say that it has bounced back, rather that a few fish managed to survive. Stocking fish from having licence fees in SA is definitely something that I would support. We are stone age here compared to other States.

Ducks are a good reason I do not float my bread baits. Moorhens, Purple Swamphens and gulls are bad also. But, the very worst, are the Black Swans, they dive their heads down and take a bait on a 3 foot leader below a float, not even on the surface. And they are bastards to fight.

I bet - I've never hooked a swan I'm pleased to say. Tbh the ducks were pretty well behaved today but they can be absolute buggers anywhere where they get fed bread regualrly. Pacific gulls will grab anything and then try to take your hand off when you try to get the hook out - just look 🤟

Frank I don't think you're going to hook a swan because usually the black swans are basically at the s*** farm next door to the White Horse Inn near that s*** farm there's a lot of black swans. Brennan's got a mate the scored a house behind the fence there and he gets the privilege of driving around the ship Farm and I can't believe how many black swans there is around there.@@captainfrank01

Frank can you stop catching my turtle his name Squirtle I released him in there like 7 years ago. Thanks for letting me know that he's still alive and still kicking bit of a disappointment that he hasn't grown bigger. Just kidding Frank I did not release a fish or Turtles in any Ponds it's a joke because that is cruel releasing a pet animal into something like this because they're not used of the wild. Cannot believe that there's a turtle in there I wonder if it's the Murray turtle species? or somebody who did release it when it overgrown it's tank back in the days.

Not sure how they (I got two and they were different sizes) got in there, but they could well have been unwanted pets. The long necked turtles are protected in SA.
@SaMaNtHa.2023Ай бұрын
Wow I didn't know that about the long neck turtles thank you so much for the knowledge Frank that they are protected.
