does the food stay warm in the thermos if yes how long

Depending on how hot the food is, example a hot soup stays warm longer than some hot chicken nuggets. I would say max 3 hours that the food stays warm.

Yes. This is leak proof. Just make sure you close the lid completely.

Yes. It’s better so all is airtight and prevents food from going stale.
