Don't think it was awkward at all, seems like a really fun creative activity. I liked this particular concert because the girl with the vertical instrument towards the end really gets it right

This has all the hallmarks of Bowie's own music videos ... In my head I call it something like "surreal statues" where the dance and the poses of the bodies are meant to have a hieroglyphic impact more than a "dancin' in the street" type mechanic. And all this is funny because of the line in the song "I've danced with you too long."
