I grew up in the mid west of the U.S. where storms like this are a somewhat regular occurrence and I think you captured the essence of one of these monsters perfectly. It was a common practice that, if you came upon a storm like this while driving, it was safer just to pull over to the side of the road and wait out the initial onslaught of wind and rain than try to drive through it. Thank you for the video and the memories.

Beautiful videos with the relaxing sounds of rain and thunder in them, although I was saying a few months ago, I am still a bit scared of thunder and lightning and I am in my mid fifties!! I would not venture out if thunder was forecast, but it very rarely occurs, how many thunderstorms can I ever remember in my lifetime? not many. People used to say it was God moving the furniture around, when I got scared as a child.

Few years ago I picked up a sound bar. Thing is, get a sub woofer with it. Such a difference. The deep rich tones that a sub puts out is truly where it's at. Course a nice speaker system is generally better, but u can't go wrong with a sound bar with sub upgrade either. Got 2 sets, they were 200 and 300 bux. So, not pricey. Often get reminded of how much I like them, the rolling thunder here did just that and I'd figured I should share.

i have a 7.1 logi surround system with a subwoofer but seriously headphones/earbuds just seem to be the way to go imo, especially since you arent bothering anyone with the loud bass ,it uses less electricity, you can use your phone to listen so you have it when you travel, and if you have surround sound with them you can hear the directional wind changes or thunder etc

Although we have never met and probably never will, you’ve come across these words. Take this as a sign that things will get better, that you will overcome whatever challenges you’re facing. Whether life’s troubles brought you here or you’re simply seeking a moment of peace, remember that you are valuable, you are important, and you deserve to be here. You are far stronger than you realize. You’re still here, trying to make things better and build a brighter future for yourself. Whatever keeps you awake at night, it is not stronger than you. You can and will get through this. I may not know you, but I believe in your strength. You might dismiss this as the fleeting words of a stranger, but I hope you choose to believe it: you will be okay. No matter what you decide, know that I believe in you. Put your hand over your heart, take a deep breath. Today may have been tough, but you made it. Tomorrow is a new day, filled with new possibilities. Peace be with you, my friend. Let me know if you need any further adjustments!

If you are reading this, just remember this If you think you are dumb, stupid, a person with low self-esteem, you are, yes, don't think I would say something "nice", you have to learn to accept it, accept that you are that way, but remember, what you see can or cannot be what's in reality going on, if you think you are stupid but you have 90s in your tests scores then you are putting yourself down, don't do that, if you are the worst and you know it, then tell me, why don't you get yourself up? If its because you don't have anyone to support you, then decide two paths, or you cover youself in a blanket and cry about it, not trying to improve on yourself and letting valious time pass by, or you try your best, if you don't have friends try talking to classmates, if you have low self-esteem then let your brain know how valuable you are by doing things that will make you proud of yourself, you have to choose between those 2 options, time doesn't wait, only you can pick up an option Accept the reality as it is

"What's that look for?" "I'm worried about Donald and Kelly. They've been gone for too long. we said we were going to meet back here after an hour." "Maybe they're just doing something natural?" "Stop, I got a weird feeling." "For real? Again? You can't say that the whole trip." "Well, why didn't they call us on the walkie's to tell us not to worry? You know how Kelly is." "It's not a big deal. Anything happens, Donnie can handle it." "He pulled a muscle when we parked before the hike." "Well, what do you want to do about it?" "We should go after them and see what's going on." "What, through the forest?" "Yeah, why not?" Chris looks at the foreboding and dark woods. He looks back at Mia "Maybe we should go back to the car and get a ranger or something." The look on Mia's face does not change, reassured or otherwise. "Who knows how long that would take?" A shaky breath escapes Chris's nose. "Alright, I get it. Maybe you're right." Mia composes herself to go despite the fear rooted her to the ground like cement. Chris hesitates before saying, "No. Just me. This is where we said we'd meet up. I'll bring them back here and we follow the trail." Mia doesn't know how to feel about his decision: "You don't want me to go with you?" Chris grows an expression on his face that seems to resemble restraint. "I'd feel better if you were right here, where it's safe." He backs her towards a tree on a short hill overlooking the path and the forest in the distance. Despite his tone trying to convince otherwise, he feels reluctant to let go of her arms. "'Kay?" Mia's lip quivers a bit but she manages a nod. "It's kinda cold." Chris at the clouds coming into view beyond the forest. there would be two or three more hours before nightfall, probably. He pats his pockets and looks around. "C'mon. Right here." He pulls Mia over to the base of a large tree with a hollow inside part. "There's spiders in there!" and Chris waves his hand "No, it's fine. I don't see any. Just sit down in here and you won't be as cold or wet." Mia starts to say something else, but nods and settles in. "You still got stuff in your bag?" Mia takes off her backpack and takes a look inside before confirming, "yes." Chris regretfully glances at the forest before looking back at Mia. "Everything should be fine, don't worry. I'll find those two idiots and come back." Mia intterupts, "Kelly's not stupid." "Right, don't tell her I said that. Listen, in 3 hours, I want you to turn on the lantern and put right outside the tree. If anything goes wrong or you have to move, use the Walkie. If it doesn't work, find your whistle and blow as hard as you can. Just read your book and keep your ears open, got it?" "Got it." Mia looks down and asks "Hey, could you sit down for a second?" Chris frowns but complies. Suddenly, Mia's hand reaches out and grabs his scarf to pull his face closer to hers. She gives him a wet and passionate kiss for a few moments before letting go. "You better come back here. We've been friends for too long." Chris, too stunned for words manages to get to his feet and adjust his brown cap. He nods twice and starts off towards the forest with a blank mind and dancing eyes. he mutters to himself "don't think about it. Just find Donald and Kelly."

For shame! The only thing more dangerous than standing under TWO trees in a thunderstorm is standing within a square pyramid made of living trees! This imaginary recklessness cannot continue!
@SilentFieldSK4 ай бұрын
Hello The last few storms that I recorded - I placed my mics under the tree - to hide them from the rain. So there is a lot of details like leaves in the wind etc. Also rain under the tree is very specific.That's why I name it like that - to make it authentic. In my channel statistics, the largest percentage of people who watching my videos are between the ages of 25 and 34. So I assume that those people are reasonable enough to not understanding it as a tutorial about what to do during a thunderstorm.
