Omkareshwara Hill is a small hill in Rajarajeshwari Nagar in South Bangalore. It is home to Matsya Narayana Temple and Dwadasha Jyotirlinga Temple.

Omkar hills is a must-visit places in Bangalore. Omkar hills is around 20kms from Bengaluru in RR Nagar. It is one of the few unexplored places in Bangalore, which is less crowded and is very peaceful for family and friends picnic.
Omkar hills - As the name itself contains the spiritual incantation "OM", the place is an abode of spirituality and peace. The main attraction of the hills is the Dwadasha Jyotirlinga temple. The other areas of interests are Sarva dharma Samanvaya Peeth, Matsya Narayana temple, huge HMT Clock tower and Dhyana Mandira.
The view from the hills is fantastic and also this is one of the highest points of the city i.e.2800ft above sea level. You should visit the place early morning for cooler breeze and peaceful atmosphere. The place is lesser-known for a weekend hangout and appears to be less crowded.
Dwadasha Jyotirlinga temple
The temple architecture is similar to the temples of Orissa - Kalinga architecture. The design of the Vimanagopura is unique with pure white temple tower and golden trident disc on the top. This is only temple with an architecture of both North and South India being used in one structure.
Dhyana Mandira
There is a beautifully constructed meditation center known as Dhyana Mandira.
Giant Clock Tower
Next to Dhyana Mandira, a huge 40 feet HMT Clock tower caught our attention. As per Hindu, this is the second largest clock tower in the world and is comparable to Big Ben, London.
Sarvadharma Samanvaya Peetha
Behind the main temple, a set of stairs leads to by a big banyan tree which is known as Sarvadharma Samanvaya Peetha. Sarvadharma Samanvaya symobolises all different religions and there are some idols in a circular pattern around the banyan tree.

This temple is 14-15 kilometers from Majestic Blore and it takes nearly 35 - 45 minutes from there to reach the temple. 🙏🙂

Dhanyavaad, mera prayaas rehta hai ki main jab tak Bharat ke dakshini bhaag mein hoon, tab tak Bharat ke uttari bhag ke un sabhi logon ko yahan ki jagahon ke baare mein bataa sakun jo shayad yahan nahi aa paayein. Kya ye hills par means road elevation. Juz want to know is this hills drive or normal road drive

It is not a hill drive. It's a normal city road till the main gate of the temple. From there till the temple there is slight elevation of approx. 500 meters. You can easily take 2 Wheeler or 4 Wheeler till the stairs.. Or you can even take a walk from the gate till temple, it's not very far... 🙏🙂
