The best thing about this story is that Langda Tyagi's plan is not full proof and Omkara is shown to be very wise. There are multiple places in the story where Langda's plan could be caught. But Omkara still gets into the trap because of one thing, suspicious heart, he basically destroys himself because of it. That is the essence of Othelo and why its my favorite of Shakespeare's plays.

wow such a wonderful movie- lots of people have adapted shakespeare's plays but this was the closest anyone could get and that to suit our country's culture and system- just perfect and so much reality it hardly looked like we are watching a movie- hats of to vishal bhardwaj and what an ensemble star cast each and every actor perfectly suited the characters like a perfect T. only slight misfit in terms of not speaking the haryanvi dialect was kareena but acting wise she was good too. The best role was that of saif and he surprised me with his acting for sure and i never expected that he could do such roles-once again hats off to vishal bhardwaj to have taken that risk of casting him in that role and extracting the best acting out of him. I came here after watching Maqbool (another very close adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth) and i will watch Haider otherwise my triology will be incomplete.

Omkara (2006) ...what an Awesome movie made by Director Vishal Bhardwaj...Excellent Indian adaptation of William Shakespeare's Othello. Ajay Devgn is Excellent in the lead role of Omkara Shukla, with his brooding intensity. Kareena Kapoor is Wonderful in the character of Dolly Mishra. Saif Ali Khan delivers a marvellous performance in the role of the antagonist Langda Tyagi. Konkana Sensharma is really fantastic in her role. The film's songs are amazing. Overall movie was good. Killing of kareena was shocking to me although director gone to this extent and showed where broken trust lead to. And main highlight of this movie was Saif . Thnx for uploading this Movie..didn't got the chance to watch this movie in theatre...have always heard praises for this movie..bt watched it today first time after so many yrs and really enjoyed...the movie was slow in the beginning but gradually became intense and gripping..all the actors have done their best❤👏👏
