Here is one idea that you can create with your free fall alphabet - let's make an in the hoop mug rug! First we need to edit the design, and then add the steps for the mug rug!

Thanks!! Have not done mug rugs or appliques, but thinking this is kind of like applique?? Another tip I've learned with PE Design, instead of 'converting to blocks' you can right click on whole design and choose 'divide stitches by color' and it won't chop up all your design into little pieces like the convert to blocks does if you've imported a design. The downfall is, if you wanted to change colors, EVERYTHING of each color is grouped together, but then you could go and hit 'convert to blocks' to whatever section of the design you wanted to further change....if that makes sense...

either way works - i have not had any issues with the convert to blocks - although i don't use it very often either!

I love this video. It included things I have been struggling with and things I want to learn how to do. I love ITH designs, but haven't yet been able to create my own. I struggle with deleting stitches already in a design, and my last attempt was frustrating because when I converted it to blocks it deleted stitches I needed and never gave them back. I ended up doing my design alterations with Sew What Pro, because it allows for better editing of designs, though it can not digitize. You make PE Design look easy, and I have learned a lot about the program from your videos. Thank you!

once you get the hang of PE design, you will be able to edit anything you need - just keep working at it!

love the cursor large Can we correct a typo in a design that we bought?
@OMLembroidery6 жыл бұрын
no...you can't edit that much on a stitch file. your only option would be to get the digitizer to fix it, or delete all of the lettering and use your own font to do the letters again.

Sue show how to do the back without folding the fabric and doing it to turn right side out. Thanks
@OMLembroidery6 жыл бұрын
Without folding the fabric, you would lay your backing fabric down, face down, and then stitch the outside shape making sure you leave a space OPEN to turn...trim and then turn it and sew up the opening. So you would digitize the outside stitching square with a large enough opening to be able to turn it.

I have watched this over and over...after I have converted to blocks and then select one piece to edit, I click over to home and the delete button is not bold so that I can choose it. What am I doing wrong? I have version 10 of PE Design.
