Fun Fact: The footloose scene was the first one they filmed. Of the entire season. Imagine starting your job as an actor at the Umbrella Academy and they tell you your first task is to film a dance battle.

I think you got confused. Sloane (the one who can levitate and gravitate objects) is the same one who Luther seems to be attracted to. you somehow created a new Sparrow in your head lol anyway, super excited for you to react to this season! it's truly a roller coaster. also, I just looked it up and Season 4 should be released around end of 2023/beginning of 2024. ❤

Loving your reactions. I loved this season. It’s different than the other two, but that’s what makes it fun. I did read somewhere that Gerard Way said the umbrellas were a family that never gelled as super heroes. The Sparrows are super heroes that never gelled as a family. Keep that in mind!!

Was waiting for you to get to the footloose part! I loved it and had almost the same wtf?! moment the first time seeing it lol love your laughter, it is very infectious and genuine. Also enjoy hearing your theories and how you connect things, some things I never would have put together so soon or just went completely over my head (no spoilers - I'm talking in general over the entire series). Looking forward to seeing your reactions to the rest of this season. It is a doozy! And as somebody mentioned already - go back to S.1 Ep.1 and listen to the opening monologue and then come back to this episode and listen.

There are some things I don't like about this season but overall I love it! It's very...different and character focused, which I enjoy a lot. Hope you'll enjoy it too

Season 2 was released on July 31, 2020. Season 3 was released on my birthday: June 22, 2022. Covid delayed production, hence the time gap. Remember that there was nearly a 3-year time gap for the release of the 4th season of "Stranger Things" for the same reason. During its filming of ST's 4th season there was a further delay as a soundstage caught fire, but no one was hurt. Season 5 of that series won't be released until sometime next year as there was another delay due to the 2023 strike as the producers wanted to be in solidarity with the strikers.

Right??? You'd think that with all of the CGI, they would have the budget to find a better wig for him. Of course, he only came out two months before they started production of the third season, so maybe there wasn't much time to shop around.

NGL, I have my issues with the Footloose sequence, but I do like how the pairs dancing together are each pairs that had a significant connection before and/or will have specific interactions later in the episode/season: Allison and Alphonso fight later when he demonstrates his powers, Luther and Sloane will have a romantic connection, Five and Jayme fight later as well, Diego and Grace because he was always a mama's boy, Klaus and Ben because duh, and Vanya and Marcus to foreshadow their deal. Also, I didn't catch until you mentioned it that Jayme spits *that* type of "acid". That's funny.

No it was like a year and a half. Season 2 was actually all filmed pre-COVID and this season was filmed during COVID.

It's disappointing what they did with some of our character arks this season. It's watchable because of the love we've built over the last two seasons, but things get pretty muddled very quickly.

The scene with Vanya and Marcus was my favorite scene of the episode. This season is CRAZY! Can't wait for your reaction to the rest. Vanya and Five are my favorites! Sloane has anti-gravity power. Jaime spits like a snake venom that gives hallucinations.

3:54 Yeah I guess they did retcon that. I don’t get why they did that. I feel like honestly for consistency’s sake, any time there’s a show that ends its season with a cliffhanger, they should just continue filming the cliffhanger scene with the previous season but not use the rest of the scene until the new season comes out. It provides consistency in terms of perspectives, what the characters are wearing, etc. Sitcoms are usually better at that kind of thing that shows like this. And honestly I like Ben better with that emo haircut we saw at the end of last season.
