Hi there ! I've been coming back to evrima after 2 years of waiting (and i'm happy to see there are a lot more dinos, the game just looks so promising as it's going). But i'm curious about the new omniraptor players style of hunting... Why are you guys pouncing so rarely now ? Is it a stamina issue ? Or were the bleed damages nerfed a lot on this attack, making it useless ? I havent' played it yet, and am waiting to see if it's still worth playing omni or nah, knowing that it takes hours to grow one ahah. Thanks in advance ! Thank you for the interesting video, I enjoyed it ! Fights look so much more immersive and natural now. Not the old way of Legacy :D

Hey welcome back! And thank you! The reason we pounce rarely is because in a 1v1 it really isn’t worth the stam and the hit detection is pretty poor. Plus as of recent there’s been a change where you can *only* pounce the side of a creature, if you pounce the head or tail of a dino you can’t pin you’ll do a kick animation and fall right in front of it. Leaving you very exposed to a counter attack. And fighting with bites is so much more fun when you’re a skilled omni, but omni if disproportionately effected by latency and it’s really not worth growing an omni. You’ll die to a hit that should’ve never landed unfortunately. You’re welcome friend! And thank you!:D

@@acronym6837 thank you for answering ! I understand now ! Guess I won't play omniraptor until it gets some buffs, i'm not skilled enough to pull the moves you do in the video ahah ! On another note, i'm kinda disappointed at how deinosuchus are still ruling the game :/ There is absolutly no safe water drinking places (or the rare ones get monopolized and are even more dangerous) and the deinosuchus can grab you with 100% kill chances no matter what you do, thus wasting 3 to 4 hours of growing :/ Already lost 4 dinos in a row those last 2 days due to deinosuchus... Very annoying, hope they find a mechanic to at least give us a chance to get away alive !

@@art2798 Of course! I wouldn’t say omni needs buffs, just reworks. And I’m sure one day you’ll learn to pull moves like that if you try! I can’t remember the last time I’ve been grabbed by a deino, there are tons of safe drinking spots on gateway. You just may not be aware of them, but deinos are incredibly avoidable if you know where to drink:]

i feel we could do way better if the bite cd wasnt nerfed, i feel im watching the fight in slow motion with so much time & space in between bites, maybe thats just me xD but it bothers me still, i want my kick back and my bite speed, and i wonder if we gonna get it back to begin with. Yeah the bites feel very sluggish with the bite timing, I wouldn’t mind as much for things like teno and carno to have slow bite speeds, but why the heck omni?? I never really used kick but that’s because I haven’t had the time to train with them, pretty sure we’ll get the kick back but I really hope the bite speed is back to normal for omni. And thanks! 🦾

I honestly don’t even use pounce, and I have at least 1.2k hours in omni alone. I’ve been maining omni since I first played the game back in update 5.5, so it takes tons of time to get really good 🦾

It’s a lot more difficult simply because the hits don’t register as good, I’ll get a clean alt bite on a carno multiple times but it still doesn’t count
