Dude. Its the generic rhythm game input. Almost all rhythm games like this have this input. Its unfair to lose score when you missclick a key. It becomes more fair that you only lose score when you lose miss notes. And you can change this on the options menu on whitty mod, but this becomes ballistic more unfair and harder.

@@genoteh9706 Ninja_Muffin did recently talk about this. He is aware of the input problem and says that he will fix it. He also said that he's not trying to make the next OSU, and that he wants FNF to be more fun than anything else, so stop complaining and just wait. The input issue will be fixed at some point.

I am baffled. I don't play the game, but I watch it being played quite a bit and I've heard seasoned rhythm game players say that the button input in the vanilla game is actually not that great while the Whitty mod actually improves that, though I was never sure how drastic that improvement was. I'm not sure if the same input window fix was applied to the B-Sides mod that Omni was playing, but if not, the inputs needed in the vanilla game must be /much/ tighter than I imagined. I honestly assumed it was Omni fumbling with Pico for a while, but here he is, surviving Ballistic on the first try.

Thing is, you're right. B sides doesn't change it, which I mean isn't their fault, they should be responsible for the FNF devs bad coding. And not only is the old input system RIDICULOUSLY tight, it's so buggy. I can't hit some notes on easy songs because of it, yet the whitty mod I can hit almost everything with 100 percent accuracy. What you do in the whitty mod is your real skill. Well, unless you're gonna clickbait and say "FC!! PERFECT!" With like 85 percent accuracy and quadspam at the end. Those people suck.

Omni there’s a setting in the main menu after clicking enter and it allows to turn off/on a setting that allows to press buttons and not get punished for mistiming or mashing. It automatically has it on you should turn it off and sees how good you do

Also if you’re seeing this replace the .exe file for the b side remixes with the original cuz it made playing them a lot easier because I think the .exe file was bugged and made notes not get recognized

Well 2 things 1. The Whitty mod fixed the button dropping problem of the base game, so that makes harder songs even possible/ more do able. 2. The Whitty mod also removed the HP loss penalty for just mashing keys mechanic of the base game. So you can clear ballistic just by mashing with your eyes closed you will just have a low accuracy score, which is more what the mod is about.

I think the reason why Omni was so good at Whitty is because he is good at hitting arrows sticking one another (Pico trained him!). Buttons in quick succession is the core thing of Ballistic, you will lose if you are not fast with your fingers.

Hey man, not sure if you want to, but Kade Dev(mod maker)collaborated with talented musician/mixer to create Whitty 2.0, which has a new song and a near impossible challenge, or at least supposed. You did all this first try, so I'd assume the challenge should be less so. Lastly, if you still care about being the king of FNF, one of the most accomplished players would be a guy by the name of 8-Bit Ryan, who beat Whitty 2.0 on his first try and has a catalogue of mods he's beaten, one you could use as a list. As some back story/strategy from the pro, he uses 2 hands on the arrow keys. He was once a drummer and practiced a technique for 10 years that helps him rebound his hand to the drum set faster, which helps him rebound to his keys and hit notes much faster.
