Btw I'm getting word that the BT16 boxes were under distributed. They're out on the west coast and boxes on TCG player are going up, so are presale cards, more than usual anyway. Speculation is that the last set undersold so they made fewer cards. We had to raffle off 3 boxes at pre release for 17 people because that's all they could get. (The evo cup is on Saturday too which is a real kick in the teeth, nobody can finish their decks.) Thoughts?

You can play Megadramon, Marvin, and Airdramon as an extra bit of synergy until bt17 with Dorugoramon. Megadramon can tuck extra SoC sources, and de-digivolving while attacking AND having collision is pretty nice.

Tbf, on my comment about the demiveemon, I wasn’t considering if someone had Venusmon up or not. I was just considering magna x vs magna x. How does magna x get up to 18k dp? The only card I’ve seen in yellow vaccine that gives dp is the inherit off of the starter rapid. Sure, if you have Venus and magna x on the field, that’s going to suck, but by the time you have that, the regular magna probably has 2 magna Xs on board and another body or two. I don’t think the matchup is as one sided as y’all are thinking, but I’m building both the decks and no one else at my locals is building either so I can’t really test the matchup.

nah you are kinda right. Vaccine is faster then you, but they can usually only get 1 stack up faster then you can get a similar stack up. You also run ukkomons more freely in armor rush. So you aren't as reliant on your magnamon x's to begin with, and can swing around magnamon x. Venusmon is definitely an issue though. But venusmon is also not as good against other decks like tyrant since he can make himself immune to her effects.

Actually, I’m assuming you meant magna X gets up to 18k dp by it’s own effect the turn you digivolve into it. While that is true, you do understand that the blue based magna X will also most likely be at 18k except it will also gain 1k from the egg. Sure you can Venus it for a turn and then heavens judgement, but you better hope I can’t get into another one the following turn or else you’re in the same boat and can’t attack or block without dying. And since the demiveemon egg is “All Turns” double Angewomon Ace can’t kill your magna either. So your only real out in the vaccine build is Venus plus heavens, or more ideally, Angewomon Ace into Magnadramon.

15:05 yeah unfortunately The other two DNA decks got hard shafted shakko can maybe be annoying but it's not hard to play around Valkyrie, just suffers as one of those decks that need your opponent to have a board state for them to do anything.

The best part of the Valk deck is the SIlphymon, and the ability to use Dinobeemon due to Gatomon being purple, and both DNA's using red. I have killed a 24k Omnimon with the dna into Silphymon with purely DP depletion. If the old Valk wasn't garbage I'd consider running it, and due to the fact that my Valk deck is more red than it is yellow, I can't use Venus that well

Question: You have lamented before about purple having alliance (which it always had, so does yellow), but there other colors that have “stolen “ keywords. For example blitz. Blitz is shared with red and black and technically purple. What are some other color locked keywords that you think should be shared

38:10 they don't want it to have the [Three Musketeers] trait in trash because if you have a whole deck with digimon with that trait, BT6 Beelstarmon can play herself out for cheap very quickly

Comment question: Sup nerds! Sean have you thought of breaking up the pod into parts for more KZbin content? I know you have the timestamps in the pod which helps alot because for me personally I skip the reveals and the top 16 breakdowns and enjoy the rest of the stuff on the pod. Bonus question how does it feel to be the best digimon channel today? The only thing holding the channel back for more subscribers is Brandon jk lol.

Lol mb guyslast week when i commented I was thinking of malo as a casual fun deck for locals but forgot to specify. For my question this time, how do you all feel about the bt15 meta as we leave it behind? Did you enjoy or dislike it, and why?

33:15 unfortunately I have tried to build an SOC tribal deck and there is a lot of issues primarily due to the fact that bow and looga Don't really play nice with the other members (purple is a lighter shade of black he thinks he's too good for the other members) and it is definitely rough

58:05 for once I am not going to clown on Brandon he is absolutely right, everything with the new hex is mid what is the point of ice armor if your opponent can't suspend. at most all it does is help you with blockers, but what good is that if you're running the old stuff that hard locks instead of soft locks.

in theory wouldnt gallantmon be a good call this format? your biggest weakness was consistency which ukkomon fixes and you have enough dp gaining inheritables to beat or crash into a 18k magnamon with raid gallantmon while board controlling smaller bodies or trashing security. plus having bt12 takato means you can always answer magnamon the turn after its summoned by warping into a 16k raid gallantmon.

you can't always answer him because raid will trash a security, so you'll have to be bigger then 18k usually. and the Takato boost only lasts that one turn. They get back into magna x they not only are bigger and likely kill you, but they were also likely immune to your deletion effects. Your better bet is milling their magnamon x and out aggroing them. Which is very hard against the armor variant since ukkomon speeds them up. Ukkomon is an issue in gallantmon as you blind mill and he can't be digivolved over, so if you mill him into the trash or he is your only rookie you are in a bad stop. Lastly deck space. Your deck is really tight so it's hard to run ukkomon at all.
