Hey JC just did that and blew up my 5v regulator (not your fault I connected my f7 before watching your video ) but it is good to see that I didn't make a mistake in doing what I did. I have connected my f7 exactly like you did with yours and wanted to test the board before the next step putting in the ESC's plugged in the battery and... fry baby fry

was looking at different hook up options for a 5" Kraken Worx here and due to the very narrow arms I was considering swapping out the Skitzo RF1 and EMAX 30a bullets with an AIO. So in short I was checking in at my local hobby store and they just got in a Cicada F4 AIO. Now I wouldn't have taken the Cicada but they brought to my attention that it is an F4 Omnibus running CicadaESC's and I remembered your great review of Omnibus FC's so I bought it. I am not having any luck getting much intel on it and I am curious as to what you know and could throw my way. Much appreciated. Cheers...

would you recommend to connect a omnibus f7 to a matek fchub-6s with a 8 pin jst sh cable or with individual wires? the jst sh option would be cleaner easier to disconnect but thicker individual wires should be more robust and secure.

Your flight controller how-to videos are excellent. A lot of what you learn on these is very applicable to doing forensics on other FCs as well. Thanks! Quick question... I see you do not have the VTX and Camera on the same ground pad. I thought the rule for best OSD/Camera signal was to always tie those two into the same ground pad. Are these ground pads close enough in proximity (no resistance between them) to not worry about it???

Hey Jc what size wire do you use for vbat and ground? On the F4 I saw you said use 14 gauge. I was planning on using 26 gauge for fc pdb and using 14 gauge pig tail with xt60, 16/18 gauge for esc. Also I'm using 2407 motors, 184 amp matec pdb ,flip 32 f7 omnibus and wraith 32 esc 35 amp esc.i just got a little tripped up with the the 14 gauge you used with f4. Thanks for all your help.

hey there, great video! i have the same question as neil. i have 3 of these boards at home - and wanted to hook them up in my 6s rigs... but where do i put the capacitor they advise usto use? i put it on the lipo pads of my 4in1 esc... my quad flies mor or less normal on 4s but on 6s it flips out of control directly after takeoff (flashed the latest bf 3.2 3 days ago) i hope i did not fry my board by wiring the cap wrong 😳

JC Like your vid's- Very informative - but I hate to but ask this but on the Flip 32 F7 where you can see J7-4 PWM1-4 and GND where would the +5 volt to esc connect to? Or do I have the wrong esc?

My question is what if you wanted to power the board via an external 5V PDB instead of the direct battery voltage. How would the internal OSD know what the battery voltage is? Thanks in advance.

Great video Blue Falcon!.. I have one question: i followed your tutorials on how to set up quad with omnibus f3 series and i have difficulty to set up RSSI value on my osd and betaflight configurator. i use rlink 433mhz uhf system as tx/rx and rx is only outputting analog RSSI. Is there any way we can use this analog RSSI IN OMNIBUS F3? RSSI pin seems to do nothing. if omnibus is not capable to do this (shame on them because we have this pin on the board) is F7 controller able to use analog RSSI?? Sorry for long question. i thrust on your experience.

great video thanks .that schematic is very poor and I think it's going to confuse a lot of ppl .looking fwd to seeing what you think of the FC once it's actually flying. I wanted to use the F4 but with no way of changing the the telemetry inversion with software it just causes more issues to potentially go wrong . I have a question .....In your opinion what's the best FC that has an on-board BF OSD that has software inversion? thanks for the great vids John

Diagrams like the printed one seen here would all be better if the labels were next to the pins horizontally, and not interleaved! Even if your cam OR vtx can "use" full vbatt power, doesn't it just step it down within the device? And if so, does it consume power and produce heat in doing so? (and is it really beneficial to be stepping the power down in multiple locations?) Or do some cams and tx's use full vbatt power straight through with no step-down?

Yep always good to check. If I hadn't checked I would have wired the receiver ground to the power pin.

garbage....I test it and it has a lot of bugs in betaflight 3.2 , no buzzer, no sbus,,, no vbat menus in configurator... etc.. Finally I change for a kiss, much better, and much better fly

DanimoD Fpv realize the firmware it's still in the beta testing. Using beta kiss firmware it's just as buggy. Just be patient and the firmware will be finalized and released soon
