@@oxbluepandaxo As long as it has a 1/4in jack, which I believe it does, you can plug into any interface/recording device. Would sound really cool on tape too, great idea!

It has a 1/4" stereo output jack designed for headphones. With an adapter cord you can split this into 2 channels (left and right) and connect it to at least 2 of your quad inputs. WIth Y- splitters you could run each channel into 2 inputs, assuming you want it on all four tracks. You can also use a mono guitar cord to connect to an amp or effects pedals.
@jeanlejeune22883 жыл бұрын
You can plug it into a 4 track, or any recording device, you just need a 1/4 inch cable like she showed. It’s line level. Be sure to hit the tape pretty hot:)

You just totally made my life here! My grandpa used to play the Omnichord and sing... I still have some recordings. Along with my grandma, he would travel to flea markets in the 80's and sell Omnichords as well. I remember being so enthralled with this thing! On an especially fortunate day Grandpa would let me play it. As ridiculous as it is to say, these are the sounds of my childhood! Now I can show my daughter the crazy instrument I've been trying to describe to her ; ) Thank you!

bluupanda So happy you are enjoying this quirky instrument I thought no one even knew about anymore! My grandparents gave me the most amazing childhood memories! They were AMAZING people! Retired early so they could hike the entire Appalachian Trail in their 50s! Then they just had a lil camper trailer and van that they traveled in for 28yrs! They were such original folks! They passed away a few years ago, just a bit over a week apart from each other. This weekend we move into the very home they built before they left for the AT. Can't wait to share that legacy they left with our lil one. Thanks for giving me a reason to share the memory of these special people! RIP Al & Ann Weed.

Great video! My dad bought one of these in the 80's the OM-84 and I remember him playing with it. He told me it his and wasn't a toy, so I never messed with it. He put in his closet and I never saw it again until he passed away and we were having his estate sale. Well I still didn't see it until it was almost too late. My sister had bought it out to sale and did see it until someone asked how much for that thing. And she told him $10. Luckily I was right there and I was like what it that and she said she didn't know. I was like wait just a minute. That's the key board dad use to play with when I was just a little kid. I had to tell the man nah I'm keeping that. I didn't even know my sister had found it and brought it outside to sell. I had no idea until u got home with it s did some research on it. To find out they sell for $600+ my dumb sister almost sold it for $10

for "#" and "b" chords you dont really have to use that, you can just go one note next or back on the scale, for example C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C, is the C scale, so, if you got a C# it's exactly the same that Db, if you got a D# you have a Eb, I mean the "#" is the "b" of the next note, It works in both ways, If you play Bb is the same that A#, Gb is the same that F# I dont know if someone can understand me because my english is too bad but I just tried to help

7:40 The plugs with "two black stripes" are stereo plugs meant for headphones or other accessories with a left and right channel. The QChord does have a stereo output. Obviously, a mono plug will also work for connecting to an amp or effects pedals.

What a lovely machine, it's beautiful. By the way, the 'Black stripes' on the audio jacks are for separating the connections, if it has one black stripe then it's mono and if it has 2 then it's stereo. Some have 3 black stripes, that usually means there is a microphone.

AWESOME video! Really thoughtful, really helpful. You’ve shared a lot of really cool ‘tricks’, that many people would think of as some sort of secret weapon, and then decide to keep them and guard them as a secret. I really liked that you showed the label from the back of the AC/DC ‘wall-wart’ adapter, so that people can read it. B T W, those guitar cable plugs are called T S when they have the one ring, like yours, and called T R S when they have two black rings. T stands for ‘Tip’ and the S stands for ‘Sleeve’. The -R stands for ‘Ring’, which is in between the Sleeve and the tip, with the two black separators. Yours is a T S, 1/4 inch or 6.5 millimeter, which is becoming more popular presently. Thanks again, and great job!

awesomesauce! ;D super video! i have one. just got it. (om-300) haven't recorded yet at this time, but when i do a tape of a session, i will youtube it. mine will take both the mono 1/4 inch plug and stereo, yours might, too. the manufacturer put resistors in the circuit, to allow this, and eliminating the problems that usually could happen when a mono plug would otherwise short-circuit the right channel of an ordinary stereo output jack...so, you can use a stereo headphone (summed mono) or a standard guitar plug.

8:58 A G# chord is the same thing as an Ab. That's not "transposing". It's just two different names for the same chord. Transposing is when you actually change the key of a song in order to use different chords. A# = Bb B# = C * C# = Db D# = Eb E# = F * F# = Gb G# = Ab * Since there's only a half-step between B and C, and also between E and F, there's no such thing as a B# or E#. We just know them as C and F. For the same reason there's also no Cb or Fb. We call them B and E.
