How's it going! I'm back with another Ben 10 reaction video. This should be a fun one because today we are going to look at the rules of the Omnitrix to see what Ben 10 can and can't turn into. Can he turn into Goku, Superman, a Transformer, the magic school bus!? I have no idea, so let's find out!

There is a reason why the Omnitrix is referred to as the most powerful weapon in the universe. Azmuth was very careful when making the Omnitrix, taking roughly one thousand years to make the prototype. He also included several security measures to keep it from being damaged, stolen, or hacked A fun fact about the Ghostfreak with chains is that their is a theory that the chains represent that the Omnitrix is keeping Ghostfreak on a tight leash after he broke out the first time.

I would hear people say the Omnitrix is a very powerful weapon back then, but I never believed them. This video right here is one reason why I am changing my views on it. No wonder Azmuth didn't want to give Ben full access to the Omnitrix at first. I wouldn't trust a ten year old either with all that power. Now that Ghostfreak theory is something I can get behind. That would make complete sense if Ben's other aliens don't have chains on themselves.

​@@mycupoftea_1 ye, the omnitrix is kinda OP. Heck, moreso than shown in the vid for instance digimon ARE possible. Digimon have DNA, they canonically have genes that make them up. And with such things as NRG qualifying for the watch, Digimon also qualified.

To answer the ending question of "how ben can switch fast enough?".... as you will be able to see by the season 2 finale of the classic series when you get there, with Master Control unlocked, he doesn't even need to touch it, he just needs to think of the alien he wants to be, and then he can become it with the thought alone.

Not to mention that one scene with the rapid transformations jumping between the Null Guardians shows just how quickly you can pull it off, and shows that even at 10 years old, Ben had a pretty solid level of cognitive dexterity.

Another Awesome Video on the world of Ben 10☺️ ALSO I want to point out things: - Groot: Possibly they were thinking of MCU Groot at that time. Groot from Marvel Comics ACTUALLY has Genius-Level Intellect - Pokemon: As a Fan, I did look into this a lot. Initially, I thought it would be enough to just list the highly Intelligent Pokemon (like Alakazam, Slowking, etc.) HOWEVER Pokemon in Anime AND Manga are being portrayed as having an IQ that's enough to be higher than a simple animal. THUS it varies on what Pokemon universe. Like they said, better safe by using Legendaries & those from Mystery Dungeon Universes - Scooby Doo: Similar with Pokemon, it ALSO varies. Just that it is due to what incarnation of Scooby-Doo (Character AND/OR Show/Movie) they are using. Most likely they were thinking of a cartoon great dane at that time. However if you scan say Scooby's incarnation from The Mystery Incorporated Show, for reasons I WILL NOT spoil it SURPRISINGLY could work.

Your question about scanning Rimuru, the answer is yes... BUT he can't/will never be as powerful as Rimuru himself due to the omnitrix's limits. Remember, while the omnitrix will give ben the apex physical form of the species based on age and gender, the power/abilities that are given must be something both natural and instinctual, NOT powers gained from learning/experience/environment. This means Ben CAN transform as Rimuru along with the Predator skill, but nothing else since the colossal amount of skills Rimuru got throughout the LN is because of the monsters/enemies he devoured. Thus Ben will only be as powerful as basic Rimuru when he just got reincarnated. And even if ben were to start devour things, it's debatable whether the omnitrix will ever "save" the skills gain through Predator (since the Ben failed to memorize the blueprints Upgrade has upgraded). It's the same with many other shows. If Ben were to transform into Spiderman, he'll get the abilities, but he might fumble around like Miles Morales did when he first got it since experience/skill based rather than instinct. As a kryptonian, unless the omnitrix also includes the amount of yellow sun radiation Ben has gotten since he was born as a human, Ben won't be lifting elephants anytime soon. Or even worse, as a Shinobi from Naruto, since ALL chakra-based techniques is from training how to use chakra, Ben will be like physically fit as Rock Lee/Might Guy but rookie taijutsu skill, no jutsus, not even inner gates. The omnitrix IS powerful, but it's gonna get useless transformations, not due to a species' biology, but due to other factors in play.

Since it's revealed that part of devourer's abilities is storing items and things in Rimuru's stomach, though the details are somewhat vague. But that would mean Ben would obtain multiple DNA transformations because of the many monsters stored, not 1 slime DNA with many skills. But you also have to remember that, depending on the species, some of those skills are natural and some are learned, and I don't think I have to explain this part again.

for rimuru, its likely he could get every ability or at least a large portion as most are ingrained into his psyche through devourer. which would become part of his DNA as there are monster exclusive skills.

The upgrade thing happened because the dna sample for upgrade was incomplete which is why Ben does not keep the blueprints as upgrade

Ben would not be able to turn into the Flood as they are a mutaion, and have low sentiance individualy, but he might be able to scan a Flood (pure version) and become the original alien. However, seeing as he could not do that with the Highbreed who had corrupted DNA due to exesive inbreeding, it may not be possible with the Flood who also have corrupted DNA.

The DNAliens were a parasyte turning humans into slaves for the highbreed. They damaged DNA and the Omnitrix was able to repair that damage. A Highbreed/Atasian sample is probably already in the Omnitrix but it's not available in the selection Ben had at the time. Ben was able to fix the damage caused by the inbreeding by recombining the highbreed DNA randomly with the unlocked transformations he had so it's not like the Omnitrix doesn't have access to their DNA

The question about the watch switching fast enough, Ben is eventually given full access to the watch, which mean yes for most of the series we only see it in restricted mode. In full access mode he could switch to any species on the watch with just a thought and the form lasts as long as he wants.

I highly recommend Ultimates Overhauled and And Beyond if you haven't watched them. One is designing Ultimates for Aliens for those who don't have them and reconceptualizing Ultimates for those who do have them, while And Beyond focuses on the worlds in Ben's universe (but it should be noted that some stuff in that in these episodes is canon to 5 Years Later). Also, I highly recommend PopCross Studios and the stuff that he does (I recommend the Multiverse Tales Explained first).

The pique of a regular slime is just a slime, and since a regular slime isn't an intelligent being, so no. BUT, if Rimuru is considered his own total different species, yes. The omnitrix can transform into an Anodite, and since Rimaru is purely made out of magicules, the tensura equivilent to mana (not taking into consideration spiritrons or information particles), then Ben can become a "rimuru". Mind you, he wouldn't get the same abilities as Rimuru that makes him opaf, due to the unique skills/ultimate being abilities that the regular species that Rimuru is cannot have. Also, this coincides with the rule in tensura that only one person at a time had be the skilluser of a specific ultimate skill and unique skill at a time. Now, this does not mean Ben would be weak as "a rimuru-slime". He would still have rimuru's intrisic skills, which are intrinsic to the given race he is. Also, Ben would get his own unique skills that could possibly enable him to become an op slime. He won't be our op slime, but he will easily be op. Edit: Yeah....Anodites can't be scanned by the current versions of the Omnitrix due to being magical beings. SBT 😋. Guess Ben can't become Rimuru, then.

The Omnitrix can’t transform into an Anodite as they are made of pure magic, the Omnitrix can’t scan magical beings, the series and writers have been very clear on that. So that would mean that Ben couldn’t become a slime like Rimuru.

Rimuru is maybe, while he'll most likely be able to transform into a Slime, with MAYBE the Predator ability, he wouldn't have the Great Sage ability. And as a Slime he would be a basic Slime with none of Rimuru's eaten abilities.

Kuro’s a little off on some of these, first off meta-humans and quirk enhanced humans are essentially mutants and can’t be scanned. And to answer your question about Rimuru, as slimes are magical creatures and the Omnitrix can’t scan magical beings then the answer is no. Oh and just ignore that “magic is just life energy” nonsense Kuro said, the Ben 10 series went through a weird phase and tried to give “sci-fi/realistic” explanations to everything but the series quickly backtracked on that.

I disagree that he couldn't transform into Scooby Doo, even if he has a speech impediment, Scooby is around the same intelligence, sentience, and sapience of a human. So i don't see any reason why he wouldn't be able to be scanned. With Scrappy around, it proves he's not the only talking dog but there are also regular dogs who can't talk, so he has to be different from them somehow, so he may be part of a unique breed of dog that can talk...

Rimuru is a possible transformation since he is a one of a kind slime with hinan level intelligence. Doesn't matter if he's a reincarnation, Omnitrix can scan Rimuru's version of the slime and add his intelligence to Ben's own.

You are overestimating the omnitrix. It only said that it would allow the highest natural intelligence of the species in question but didn't say anything about giving a copy of all the intelligence of the species (basically slimes from tensura aren't sentient. Rimuru was only reincarnated as a slime. This means that although rimuru is a sentient slime because slimes are not naturally sentient Ben 10 can't transform into rimuru, also there's the fact that despite being sentient rimuru is still considered part of the slime species even if he's an anomaly among the slime species)

You also aren't taking into account that monsters from tensura are made of a type of magic and the omnitrix doesn't allow beings made of energy as transformations (also to give an exact idea of I meant with what I was saying. Being sentient doesn't make rimuru be a "sub race" of slimes because of how the world of tensura works. And as I've said slimes from tensura aren't naturally sentient as they only act off of instincts) another limiting factor is that it's cannon to tensura that only one person can have a copy of an ultimate skill at a time (the same applys to unique skills) and most of rimuru's skills aren't something he naturally had (remember rimuru consumed beings to gain there skills. And he combined them into more powerful skills. There are even some he had to learn) this basically means that Ben 10 can't transform into rimuru but if Ben 10 could the transformation would be nothing in comparison to rimuru

Yes because no non sentient slime would be capable of becoming a demon Lord/demon slime. But that doesn't mean the transformation would be anywhere near as powerful as rimuru (in tensura it's cannon that ultimate skills and unique skills can only have 1 user at a time. Even for clones of the user of an ultimate skill/unique skill) meaning "if" Ben 10 really could transform into rimuru it would be an incomparably weaker version of rimuru

Fun fact regarding the question of if Ben 10 could transform into rimuru. For it to be possible he'd need to transform into a near exact copy of rimuru or else he could only hope for being a sentient slime. Next is the question of if slimes from tensura even have "DNA" which is debatable. After that is an even bigger question on if Ben 10 would even have the skills/power system of tensura or would just have the powers of a slime, lastly monsters from tensura are made of magic so depending on if you agree with the omnitrix being unable to transform it's user into a being made of magic or not this could be part of the argument for why Ben 10 couldn't transform into rimuru

Seeing as how it was "originally" designed so different species could walk in each other's shoes, humans would still be a part of it. Later on, it's an "ark" so species won't have to worry about being exterminated. Plus, there have been a couple of species that are just straight worse than humans, like Walk-a-Trout.

@26:03 most slimes in remirus world don't seem to be smart outside of remiru and his clones/family when he first appeared he was basically blind and deaf to the world around him, and ben's watch/the omnitrix cannot turn into specific people. from Dwayne McDuffie [in response to a question about transforming into specific people]: "yes, and no. For example if you scan "starfire or superman" but you will just end up with "the species", not starfire herself or superman himself, even if you are a female you might "look like her", but you wont have her powers." [IE: like the eye beams which are a puberty thing, her memories, her fight style etc.] what makes remiru strong is all his absorb power and the "absorbed stuff" like his dragon firend and ifrit and his sage power. as a basic slime you will have NONE those. so I'm going to say you CAN transform into the slime form [since we see goop], but you will be like rimiru was when he first started and you wont have his unique perks. so if you want to be blind and deaf slime then go ahead.

Oh so the moment you want to use the watch, if will select the most necessary alien depending on the situation? That's very useful I knew the transformations were fast but not that fast. I'm guessing in the show it takes like 10 seconds for transformations because they want to show Ben morphing into the aliens for the first time.

And it's theorised by alot that Omnitrix is basically learning Ben traits and personality to better assimilate and fit Ben needs and wants..so perfect to the point that it seems to know Ben better than Ben does consciously.. However at Original and Omniverse, the AI was new to Ben thus alot of mistransformations, mostly Omnitrix fault, but on occasion just Ben misselect, this is esp true on Omniverse probably due to how alot of ppl might think its due to its UI being not as perfect as it looks, while you can see other aliens on the playlist for easier cycling so that you can cycle backwards than forward to reach the alien the user wants, it's very congested esp for bigger rugged aliens, since its just the face being shown, so such aliens would all look similar unless have a unique face. So basically a self learning AI but this will take time and experience of the Omnitrix being used and will provide the alien Ben needs right at that moment. Hence you see Ben transform correctly during AF and UAF, and most of the time 1st on his playlist is exactly what he wanted or needed , rarely needing to cycle through unlike OS and OV. Since it was with Ben throughout OS. And then recalibrated after, presumably to adjust the final settings to fit Ben... So the OV Omnitrix will either maintain its form since its the perfected version Omnitrix, or it will also have its own recalibration to match Ben uses with the AI perfectly synced, even using Ben voice

Now exactly how he was created is never explained but he is considered a completely separate species from Diamondhead.

it was confirmed the omnitrix can't transform into specific people, if you transform into starfire for example you won't be literally starfire you will be her species instead, so for example if a species get a specific type of power if they're old enough, ben transform into that species and he's NOT considered old enough then it wouldn't work. if saitama is considered a normal human that just got his power through intensive training/outside forces then no it wouldn't work.

What makes you think the Wildmutt is less intelligent than a human? They just don't have the biological ability to speak that other species do. So much so that the species has a complex language based on grunts and noises, but which is very difficult to translate. It's basically as if our real-life dogs are just as smart as us, but they're still trapped in a dog's body. Where there are certain biological limitations that would not allow them to speak like a human. But suddenly they would be able to create a different language using what their biology allowed.

But Im unsure some of the no's for intelligence because ben has aliens way less intelligent and more animalistic without the ability to even speak like wild mutt or buzzshock who have not proven that much intelligence to say they're far more intelligent than even some regular pokemon or scooby who can talk and make strategies... We see regular pokemon like pikachu and starter pokemon show great intelligence and can even work in police squads... pokemon also have a universal language that no animal on our planet has... They have shown to even be able to use martial arts and can mimick and learn from humans... Scooby has human level intelligence even if he's far from peak human intelligence he should definitely be intelligent enough not to mention in some iterations scooby is an ancient alien species not a dog...
