When guitar players really feel what they are playing and enjoy it, this is it. Absolutely incredible musicianship between the guitars and the keyboards. Weirdly in the solos can hear those odd Marty Friedman type notes when you least expect it. Very nice

Thanks for the review. The guitarist is Markus Vanhala --- same guy from Insomnium. Last 3 albums from Omnium Gatherum are very good melodeath.

Pedro and Antonia it’s surprizing how close your musical taste is to mine 😊. When you give thumbs up for something it's most likely that I like that song as well. When I was teenager my favorite bands were Megadeth, AC/DC, Sepultura and Iron Maiden but lately I've been mostly checking out some amazing new bands like this one. Apparently there are nearly endless amount of super good bands people have never even heard about. So ..you are doing excellent job there guys 👍😎!

I like Omnium Gatherum, they're really good live band. I honestly prefer them live than on the records. Hell yeah Omnium Gatherum. If I ever get married I'm so gonna use this song as the wedding waltz xD Some may think the growls are too "brutal" for this song but I also love the contrast. OG is so melodic band that vocals serve as a heavy accompanying instrument in itself. The entire Beyond album is one of the most soothing, relaxing death metal albums I have ever listened (as bizarre as it sounds xD), as even though it has plenty faster and heavier tracks OG's overall tone is carried on by the uplifting guitar leads. I love this song a lot and i requested it. Still i hate the vocals in this and i'm sure if they released an instrumental version of this song the vocal covers would easily eclipse the original, hell i'd much prefer just the instrumental version. I just don't like the singers growls at all. Btw the lead guitar player is same guy that is lead guitar for Insomnium.

I'm really frustrated with this band. I really love the orchestration but the voice doesn't fit at all, it's from a totally different movie. I don't think I know a band where the contrast between the quality of the orchestration and the voice is that big. It's a shame, Omium Gatherum could be much bigger with another vocalist.

And you're not the only one, I've seen multiple comments like "I love the music but the vocals are ruining it" under various melodeath bands' videos, not just OG. They just didn't bother to be more specific as you did.
