The character "ㅋ" sounds like "kh", meanwhile the "ㄱ" is more like "g". For OnOn, they just simply remove the "w" sound. "ㅜ" + "ㅓ" are pronounced as "wo", they replace it with the character "ㅗ" which pronounce as "o". For ChaCha the circle at the bottom sounds like "ng", so they just removed the "ng" from the word "chang" so it becomes "cha".
