I think Omori IS a variant of Something. It makes sense, seeing as how Stranger represents Basil, and Something represents... Mari. It would fit to make Omori the last Something. Something interesting is that Omori has the opposite purpose of all the other Somethings. He tries to stop Sunny from learning the truth, doing the opposite of what Stranger wanted Sunny to do. So much weird stuff fits...

Right as the battle ends, you get the tickets. If the game detects that you do not have the tickets for any reason, the cutscene triggers and you get the tickets anyway. The reason it triggered here despite Kyoshi having the tickets, is because either the game noticed they already had the tickets and decided not to give them, or the enemies being randomized messed with the drops, and disabled the tickets dropping. However, since the game realises that the tickets didn't drop, it thinks something went wrong, and activates the cutscene to prevent them from getting locked out of progress.
