So much of Omori is tied to the game mechanics that i feel bad for any writer who has to linearly put it all into a manga format

As much as i dislike the art style, I do appreciate how Something and Hellmari were introduced and how much detail they have in the manga. The Something has a coarse, hairlike texture that adds to the unnaturalness of its existence, and Hellmari's dried-out, decrepit form warped and sprawled over a 2-page shot majes her look like something out of a Junji Ito comic. Even something as simple as using purple ink to outline the Headspace panels, or even just the Headspace team, would go a long way into making them stand out. While Omori would still be hard to differentiate from Sunny, his monochrome palette would stick out in a sea of purple. Also, I think its possible to turn the lack of distinction between Sunny and Omori into an advantage. Omori is Sunny's escapism personified, he is the inner darkness that Sunny struggles against in the true route and succumbs to in the Hikikomori route. Depending on how the story is told, this lack of distinction could make for some excellent tension/ambiguity/horror. We already got a bit of that in the knife fight. I do hope the manga continues to flesh out the bonds Sunny has with his friends in ways the original game couldn't. His interactions and flashbacks with Aubrey in the Church chapters were quite bittersweet and made his implied crush on her feel that much more realized. Similarly, I hope the manga dives deep into Headspace lore, including the implications that Headspace is "more" than a dream (its a dream world that's been visuted by many people) and that Basil innermost thoughts (Stranger) and Mari’s spirit have been trying to reach out to him.

@@jthecryptid I do agree with what you said about Something and Hellmari! They have more way more detail than they ever can in the games. I also would like to see the manga flesh out the bonds as well
