3:30 Wrong eye question mark? Also I really like how you executed this but the interesting thing is that if this outcome were to happen then there would be no more Sunny left for his friend's to find. It would just be Omori as a full consciousness. At least that's how I see it. So what would happen if suddenly Omori, the alternate consciousness after defeating Sunny, were being pulled back to the real world friends instead of jumping? This animatic shows Omori disappearing at the end but there's nobody else there. It's difficult to see this as a purely good ending when the "bad ending" is morally ambiguous by design. Awful and sad, yes, but I mean...it's a lot to get into whether or not it's "wrong", too. It isn't as though Omori's influence would just suddenly turn around and tell the truth but Sunny isn't the one who wanted to give up and jump in the first place so...it's interesting to think about.

Yeah, I probably flipped the canvas at some point and forgot to fix it. I always saw Omori more as a representation of his guilt and not something separated, and so capable of being dealt with by accepting what happened, so if he ever got to the roof, there were basically two alternatives. Or he jumped, and thus runs away from what he did, or else found some other answer, maybe he tells everything over guilt or curiosity, and because the game is about forgiveness and moving forwards, he would find something, and thus Omori would be no more. But I would love to see some other path.

@@franzflippers4951 It's all interpretations, I guess, but I can't help but see Omori as his own character. Becoming so attached to him and his behaviors playing through the game (both routes) and seeing him stand out even as a true final battle made it difficult to view him as just a metaphor. It feels like he does things Sunny would never do, things Sunny doesn't want to do, to put things back together the way he wants. His desperate attempts to avoid being lost to Sunny's mind and everything. When you think about it everything Sunny does to try to find the truth or return to the real world only hurts Omori and ruins what little he has in Sunny's headspace. The more the truth comes back the more of headspace falls apart. Watching Aubrey, Kel and Hero suffer and die over and over sometimes so horrifically that their corpses are left as permanent scars to the world itself must be an experience beyond whatever Sunny could experience on his own. Resetting the world over and over just to try to keep his one and only home from disappearing, imagine what it's like to be created by somebody only to be doomed to being erased when you either fail to fight back or you're just not wanted anymore. I just like the fractured identity idea more, personally.

I just finished this game. Of course, I didn't get to everything in the game. But I managed to get the good end. I love it...so much. It was what I call a masterpiece. I don't call very manh things masterpieces. But this game was. It is at the same level as Undertale, Anohana, Your Lie in April, Orange, and Erased is for me. All of which made me think...really think about life itself. So, yeah. This game has a special place in my heart now.

this is amazing. the song combined with these visuals does an amazing job of conveying the mortifying and overwhelming feeling of pointlessness that comes with depression, struggling with the idea of death, and pulling yourself back away from from nihilism. 3:23 this is my favorite part. subverting the balcony scene is an amazing way to sharpen the impact of the song's message, and it hits pretty hard, to me. needless to say i think this is my favorite omori animation, and yeah i did cry a little bit.

Mate, I am just glad I am not the only person struggling with Krita. even with a ok computer (16ram) it renders so. freaking. slow. Even if its like ten frames it hates me. Some can Suggest Powerpoint (eg. create frames, then place them in the slide show with the animation tab) or blender if our computer can handle it(yes it can do 2d). I guess some work for people others not so much. I guess you can also try looking at some tutorials, there are a few good ones for Krita as its one of the more popular ones. Best wishes mate.

Yha, I know that you can use Blender for that, but then I would have to use grease pencil, and I still not a very fan of it. I never thought about using Powerpoint. What worked for me was to update Krita (since my version was very old), make very small giffs and just assemble everthing with Openshot. It's kinda of more time consuming, but also give some cool gifs to use. I recommend updating and doing the same, since also makes easy to make changes. Best wishes also.
