@Lalogue i think its a beta room for that exact scene? It is in the game but not in black space-- it's in omori's dreamworld INSIDE the black space and the cat looks the same as the cat in the dreamworld treehouse (where omori spawn after white space)

@Lalogue Seems to me like these are unfinished maps that were suppoesd to be even scarier versions of black space, that you would encounter in black space 2. Maybe the devs changed their mind and left those maps in the game either on purpose or not.

These "unused" maps are actually used ingame, it's just that they were probably meant as placeholders. They're all incredibly similar to already existing maps.

Yeah! It is mechanically possible to reach these rooms, considering the variabke needing to be a specific number, but because there aren't enough events to change these vars to this value, it becomes _technically_ inaccessible, i think? As an indie user of RPG Maker engines myself, I can see how you would make placeholder maps XD

305 and 373 make me wonder if Black Space 2 was planned at some point to have its own versions of Black Space 1/normal route endgame nightmare maps. 305 in particular is almost an exact replica of a Black Space 1 room just with dark colors instead of the usual Headspace colors, while 373's visuals and music are clear connections to the room in which Omori sits on the throne of hands.

Map 305 is incredibly similar to one of the doors I encountered in Black Space during my normal run. The only difference is that Hero walked across a bridge made of red hands before the portion where they attack Basil in my game. Didn't see this specific room mentioned in the doc and I'm not in the Discord so not sure if the room I saw is in everybody's run or not, but the two being so similar just makes it seem like they made some adjustments to the encounter.

I also saw that room! 305 is very similar to an event already in the game. You can also talk to the three after they kill Basil and they have messed up sprites and just say lines with seemingly no relevance to what they just did. That room was probably one of the most disturbing ones to me in black space.

some updates: 1. this video was made the day that me and gilbert (from the omori discord) datamined and found these rooms, and as the days go on, more people are finding variations of these maps in various places. at the time we were making the video, me and gilbert showed everyone in the discord all the rooms and no one had found it yet from what we had seen, so I made this video. I guess the term "unused" is kinda misleading now, would probably be better to call them placeholder rooms as they are different from the ones used in the actual game 2. if you want to know how to datamine yourself, you can find a decryptor mod in the omori discord ( discord.gg/GDsra5H ). once you have the decrypted files, you can use rpg maker mv and tiled to view all of the files. thanks for all the support on the vid also check out the doc: docs.google.com/document/d/1s1WrtLA3DRXsCjsipQ6q_wBusq-V2AYTz0GHBpsWYEk/edit?usp=sharing

before you reach the church , if you ignore the black door with the red spotlight that leads you there , you can keep walking into other blacks doors and in all of them basil wants to tell something to omori but keeps being killed by different stuff and never manages to say it. the dark space 1 version has glitched headspace instead of the black map but everything happens exactly the same. in fact there are more dialogs in dark space 1 with the friends having distorted faces and saying really mean stuff.

it's a placeholder room for the room where basil is dragged into the red space. In the cutscene you can see basil scratching at the floor as he's pulled away so I think it's implying that basil's been dragged so fast/hard that his fingers came off from trying to hold on

I Wonder. Is there a way to bring all these rooms back into the game as some kind of new door in the Blackspace Entrance room? I mean put the whole sequence back into the game as some area in blackspace or blackspace 2. At first I was wondering if these were cut because they realized that there's only 26 letters in the alphabet. Then I actually thought about it and these are probably just left over maps and the 99 value was just a measure to make sure nobody can get to these maps by normal means. Though they could've easily used these. There are locked doors in Black Space.
