I usually let the pilots have a moment to settle a bit before exclaiming that I captured it on video but that's just me. I have witnessed hundreds of RC crashes and some people don't take it well. Lots of time, money and emotion gets invested in these things.

I have posted almost 1000 flight videos and was there and knew the team. So I didn't mind yelling out I got it on video! Usually people and Amain guys are happy if something bad happens that atleast it is caught on video.

That was soo brutal! I feel sorry for both pilots! The OMP M7 seems to be a real tank! It looks relatively fine while the Specter looks like a bomb dropped on it!! Lots of $$ burned in a fraction of a second.

Watching in slow motion I think it's more to do with the angle they collided,the OMP's blades hit the Specter in the perfect place to do maximum damage and seemed to take the specters blades out so probably escaped relatively undamaged.I seen Specter's crashed and I've been amazed how well they survive.Taking nothing away from the OMP 7 as I've only heard great things about them.

I can tell you the M7 looks better but in reality it was done. Pilot could not even pull the battery out.

That sucks....expensive mistake. It happened to me recently at my club with a drone flyer. He wondered into my area and hit my heli. My blade went straight through he's battery pack. My heli landed ok. Blades several damaged. His drone went up I a fire ball. Completely destroyed.

This is why spotters are important. Could’ve easily been avoided if spotters were with the pilots. Careless and dangerous.

If I had to hear you say “ I got it on video” one more time I think I’d just go out and fly my helicopter into a wall 😂 yep, I think we can attribute that to pilot error. Not staying within your own box of airspace. 😢

@@stephenhoover4095 - agreed spotters should not be busy with a mobile phone recording the flight. Their job is to keep the pilot informed of what’s going on around them.
