OMPHOBBY M2 How to use Self Level as Rescue Mode and testing

I’m showing throttle and pitch curves that I came up with so that you can use level mode as rescue with OMPHOBBY M2 helicopter.

Why would you need to change the throttle and pitch curves for the rescue mode? Should the Flybarless unit take care or the levelling?

I would like to ask you about the fact that the rescue mode is switched by a switch other than the three-position switch for flight modes, when the helicopter switches to the first flight mode, which causes a reduction in the tilt angles and thus actually saves the helicopter? Am I understanding this correctly?

Works for me , I won't switch from spectrum,. So it's what I do ,,but there are different ways in Open tx but the ones I own don't feel right to me. Love my trusting dx6

Great video. So to understand you have a mix on your radio when your stick position chande to normal mode as well is mixed the auto level to activate at the same time ?

Thanks! I keep the auto level on a separate switch because I actually don’t really use it. I also don’t use normal mode because I’m using the omp protocol and normal mode is restricting the pitch.

Great. I was wondering if I could set a momentary switch to start the rescue. Also, how good and reliable is the tail authority of this heli?

JC you can assign any switch, but the switch should change the flight mode, the pitch and throttle curve. Tail is very good, even in winds it holds well and very precise

Could you decrease the pitch curve in N mode for rescue so that the heli “floats’ more as opposed to dropping as much after going from IdleUp 1/2 back to N mode ?

So I understand, normal mode is set to its defaults. You're flying in idle up mode. You switch to normal mode and the flight controller will flip the heli automatically?

Yes, exactly. That is because normal mode is set to bring the Heli in the level position.

Foarte bine explicat, imi place cum ai zburat, mā uit si eu de vreo 2 sāptāmâni la acest model si incā nu sunt hotārât dacā sā-l iau pe āsta sau 230s v2 (Blade). Sugestii? Salutāri din Austria, te urmāresc cu interes. 👍

Figu Wolf salutare, 230s v2 nu am zburat...l-am văzut doar pe net in reviewuri și mi se pare un model bun. Mai alea dacă ești in perioada de început. Plus ca e Blade, au un renume, modelele lor zboară f bine. M2 este un model mult mai performat, orientat mai degrabă spre 3D agresiv. Deci depinde in ce perioada ești, dacă ești la început mergi pe 230s v2 iar dacă ești mai avansat mergi pe m2

Did you adjust gyro sensitivity for rescue mode? How much do you set gyro gain for rescue mode?

SPACESTRAY rescue mode is actually the normal “self level” mode mentioned in the manual. It is selectable through GEAR channel on my transmitter at 100 value. You don’t need to change anything on the gyro settings

recently got the m2 explore version. my pitch curve in IU1 & IU2 are 0 25 50 75 100 (+12.5 0 -12.5) my throttle curve in IU1 is 85 70 70 70 85 & IU2 is 100 85 85 85 100. while flying the collective feels mushy or delayed on the negative side. is there anything i can do to take out that delayed feeling?

Try 0 0 0 0 0 - 75 72,5 70 72,5 75 and 85 82,5 80 82,5 85 . Mine goes very good

I have a dx8 gen1 and can't seam to set up my TX to properly work with the heli. can you put all of the levels pitch curve, throttle curve, and switch configuration please.

I just wanted to let you know that you are showing the menus in the radio transmitter too slow - try faster . just kidding . people who want to learn are not in your level - if they were in your level - they wouldn't need your video. It would be great if you would do it step by step. it's better to show a slow step by step half of the video and one example of how it works would be enough. of course thank you for your efforts.
