How would you rank these three programs? 🤔

I agree that course catalog is the most important criteria. I general I'd favor the one that has the most choices (OMSCS has more than 50 courses to choose from now), but if you have specific goals the lack of certain specific courses should be a show stopper. For example, OMSCS, at first didn't have Deep Learning (they do now). And it still doesn't have NLP (though NLP is coming next semester). So if those courses were important, then that should be a show stopper.

OMSCS is the most prestigious.

Thank you for the info😊 Would you recommend any of these programs for international students?

Suggested by the algorithm so i clicked. But I am actually interested in the UT MS Ai degree. Another one to throw in the mix of online affordable CS programs is UMass Amherst.

I'm currently enrolled at GT OMSCS specializing in Machine Learning, I would say the only thing I wish OMSCS have is an NLP course, which surprisingly UT Austin has. I would give OMSCS a biased slight win here over UT Austin, hope they solve this problem soon

NLP is coming next sem to OMSCS

how is the experience till now? How many hours to put every week for a full time working profressional?
@bowenchen49082 ай бұрын
@@SatnamSingh-zy6eg I'm coming back to this review. The NLP course is fantastic. But when the core course rolled in (Software development process, Graduate Algorithm) it does feel a bit hectic. I kinda hated the fact I can't use python which is the most relevant to my profession

Hi Elliott, I have been admitted into the online Masters program at University of Texas at Austin for the Spring 2023 semester. My class will start in January 2023. So far the ambience is very inviting and organized 😊 Your videos were very inspiring.

@@victorngo165 the first semester was great. Machine Learning with Adam Klivans. Though I took a single course only.

Does the GT degree appear any different than the in person?

Would getting a masters in AI from UT Austin help someone break into AI that doesn't have any experience in the field ie like going from software dev => AI?

You mention regional appeal. Is there an online program that you would recommend for people who want to work in the Northeast U.S. (Boston/NYC)?
@willelliottYT2 жыл бұрын
Check out this video I made: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHTQq5J5obN9aK8 it includes a couple from NE USA. Although you would find plenty of alumni from GT, Illinois, or UTA in Boston or NYC.

Maybe you can talk more about those group projects? I also think learning from peers is important.

I feel like the UIUC MCS-DS track should be better compared against GT’s OMSA

They all have different curriculum. At the end of the day, you must do your own research and determine which curriculum would suit best your career objective.

Wondering why Illinois is almost 3X of GT in cost, which is a considerable factor for foreign students
@willelliottYT2 жыл бұрын
Not sure why, but I know when GT launched it was subsidized by AT&T. It also has more scale than Illinois.
@acasualviewer5861 Жыл бұрын
OMSCS simply has many more students, so the economy of scale favors it.

Which program is the best for a non-CS undergrad major? For example, an engineering undergrad but non-CS.
@willelliottYT Жыл бұрын
They are all good fits, depends on what you are looking to get out of the program
