I rarely comment on anything online, but could not pass this one (and others from you) without saying thank you and wishing you the best 👍 Many people produce and share high quality content, but very few bring in such sense of authenticity and self expression.

Is calculus 2 necessary? Thinking about taking calc 2 right now, but with my schedule it's nearly impossible to fit in. I already retook calc 1 though. How much of ML is integrations?

Thank you.. this is my second semester.. I took KBAI last sem and it was a beast.. Some people are saying it's the easiest, but i think it's more of an arrogance from their side. I agree with all the things you have said and definitely, I'd take algorithms and data structures too :( it's my weakness

What programming language is most useful to learn before the program? May I know what kind of CS experience you emphasized during application that got you in?

If you can do a masters degree in CS at georgia without having a bachelor's in CS, would it make sense to first do a Bachelor's in CS and then the masters at georgia?? I am like: why even do the bachelor's if obviously it is not really required to do the masters...? If you do a Bachelor's first maybe the masters would be a breeze? Because the courses you describe are basically the bachelor courses.

This was so helpful, thank you! I've been taking classes for the last year or so trying to prepare to apply for OMSCS, and have worked my way up to Comp Org and Assembly and Calculus 2 in the spring (I was also an arts major in my undergrad). But the community colleges here in AZ only offer Discrete math and don't have linear algebra or OS classes (that's at the university level). I was going to fill in the blanks by using online classes via Coursera, etc. Do you think those will be good enough? Should I maybe do Discrete Structures that way instead of the math class?

I heard that doing the verified certificate helps if you can't get college credits. Checkout the r/OMSCS subreddit.

I suggest doing the actual masters degree content you waste your time learning different stuff without knowing what that master includes
