We would completely have forgotten about Mr. Johnstone Mukabi had johnstangl2 not rediscovered him. Thank you. Johnstone must have been very keen at studying his father’s playing style. I have always longed to observe the finger picking trick of John Mwale and George Mukabi (the two were inseparable yet Mwale came from Tiriki and Mukabi Senior from Kisa). Johnstone offers the answer: Only the thumb and the index ensure the consistency of the beat, for the one guitar band.
