I agree and disagree with you about Titus. I think he's pretty well respected. 5 Emmy nominations for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt plus being the original Sebastian in Little Mermaid on Broadway. I think he's in the same position someone like Brian Stokes Mitchell was years ago. Will he ever be the biggest star in the world? No, but everyone that knows him really loves and respects him.

I’m a classical/choral singer in the UK, and I’m obsessed with Voctave. Titus and Voctave is the collaboration I needed. As an African-American growing up in Oakland,CA during the 60s amist ground zero of gun violence, murder, projects, heroin, poverty, police brutality and social unrest, I saw the movie and heard the theme song and I recall a feeling of hope. Hearing the updated version today affirms that I made it out of that war zone alive and that song is one of the reasons why & how. Thank you for the reminder💞☮

It's just the same way people complain about the vocal purity of CDs vs. vinyl, or why people shell out for that concert experience even though they could listen to a perfectly streamed rendition at home. Ai might end up being able to fake it better than an actual person, but it still will never beat the wonder of an actual human being able to produce those sounds, emotions, etc. Plus, there's the fact that most people are inherently predisposed to root for flawed creatures or underdogs more, it doesn't get more flawed than humans. Ai might have to start glitching in order to maintain long term appreciation 😂

Okay, I grew up on the Streisand/Nelson Riddle orchestration version from the movie, which may be the greatest singing in the entire world. This version by Titus Burgess and Voctave is so stunning and gorgeous that I am floored. As a musician/musical director, to hear the second half of this piece paying homage to the Nelson Riddle orchestration, with Titus recreating the Streisand vocal arrangement with his extraordinary belt, is just blowing me away. A friend sent me this. I am ashamed to say that I havent heard of Voctave before, something I am correcting now. I am obsessed with them now. Already saw all the videos. What an arrangement this was for this classic sound first recorded by Barbra Streisand in 1970 who also acted in the movie with the same title. In this arrangement they sound like an orchestra. They should be going to all the TV talk shows, to be seen and heard and get the recognition they deserve!!! Bravi!!!
