When playing Edgefield, best thing to do might be to let the ghost start to circle the couch to get you, and book it for the stairs to break line of sight and hide somewhere upstairs.

10:52 the smudge doesnt stop spirits during a hunt, at least not any more than other ghosts, it inly stops the spirit from hunting for another 3 minutes, from the moment you smudge it not the end of the hunt, while every other ghost has to wait 90 seconds, and the demon only has to wait for 60 seconds.

1:19:31 Grian has this miraculous and funny thing where no matter what, he’s a normal/quiet voice through his mic but very clear to understand, BUT because he’s so clear and normal we turn up the volume only to have his PIERCING and hilarious yells cut through 😂 personally I don’t think he’s too loud (unless it’s a crazy moment of pure SCREAM like when Martyn scared him in double life lmao) so you can’t just try to turn his volume down just cause the Screaming is loud. The yelling and screaming is very funny I say, and it’s loud yeah but not ear piercingly sharp or anything, it’s gonna be loud and it’s fine

Hey Impulse! You could try to smudge and make a run upstairs and hide after you have looped a bit around the sofa. That way you get some info and the ghost doesn't maybe kill you as easily. 45:27 Also you could make it clear to everyone what you are about to do with the cursed items before you use them. 😅

The line of sight speed boost is not like the revenant's. It is a gradual increase over time, and has no upper limit. Normal speed ghosts speed up with LoS. Fast ghosts do not speed up with LoS. The exceptions to this are the Jinn, who has the LoS "ability", The Twins who have the LoS "ability", and the Moroi who has the LoS ability despite being a fast ghost.

All ghosts except Deogen, Revenant, Hantu, and Thaye have the gradual LoS. Jinn has an extra instant LoS boost if the target is far away and the breaker is on. Also, Rev LoS speed up happens not only when there is actual LoS, but also when it hears you/knows your last location

How i remember which ghosts speed up with LoS is all ghosts that do not have another variable that affects their speed except for Moroi. For example, thaye has speed dependent on age, hantu dependent on temperature, raiju based on electronics. Moroi is for some reason the one that does both LoS speed increase and speed based off sanity

My strategy with a group was flashlight, that I'd drop, and smudge. then pick up monkey paw and hide. If we didn't know after first hunt I'd wish for knowledge, and if we couldn't figure it out then, I'd die and get info. 😂 we got Rev twice, and deo once out of 6 times. Super easy runs.

Impulse for the beginning challenge if you wish to trap the ghost the room the ghost spawns in will show up with a lock icon but not be locked. It is helpful to figure out if you're dealing with a shade or not. Wishing for knowledge is good, but when that wish still leaves you with shade or spirit it really doesn't help.
