@@iuciubbbThat is certainly true in many aspects but we currently have a centre-right government that has been very tough on crime compared to previous governments. We have also restricted our immigration laws to some of the strictest in Europe. Way stricter than the UK or Germany(even Italy, despite them being ruled by a very right-wing party) and on par with Denmark. We will also start to deport people that doesn’t share western values. Immigration has fallen a lot. The police has become more effective in stopping criminal activity. Many immigrants,including those from muslim countries are also sick of criminals. The reality is much more nuanced than what you’re portraying it as. Our current government has put forward many laws that would have been considered unthinkable 10 years ago. Even the leftist parties are toning down their more radical rhetoric. We’re also beefing up our military and has joined Nato, firmly understanding our importance in Europe politically and militarily. We have also taken a hard stance against Putin along with the Baltic countries, the Nordics and Poland. These are tough times all over the world but at least Sweden has taken steps to improve and fix It’s mistakes. You might say that it is too late but that attitude won’t get you anywhere. Sweden has been through challenges before and has risen back. Politics takes time but I believe these measures will impact Sweden positively. And to answer your claim, we are still a civilised country. Visit Gotland or the Old town in Stockholm, you’ll love it. Lund which is shown in this video is still as lovely as ever and very safe. To say it looks like Beirut is simply false. I’m also tired of seeing politics under every clip that shows how a country looked in the past no matter which side of the spectrum.
