I'm not trying to disrespect or be harsh, but I have always wondered the significance of beauty pageants since my childhood. I remember I was in my friend's house, playing and suddenly my friend's aunt asked us to be quiet and be seated to watch Miss Nepal. She was like "Hera ta kasto ramro ramro dd haru hununcha, hera hai halla nagari". Then I asked out of curiosity, "Yo jite pachi chai k huncha ?" and she had literally no answer and everybody around just laughed to it. She was a very well accomplished women of her time. It was around 2005/2006, she was a dentist and had her own clinic in Kalanki, she was a well respected women in our neighborhood but still she had no answer to it. Till this day, I am still wondering the importance of such pageants. Some say its for women empowerment, some say its for social welfare but still I cannot connect the dots and see how its even closely related.

Honestly, they just want to be famous , become a media personality, be in glits and glamour that’s it. I mean look how suddenly they become famous, people watch you , people do care abt what they say. And i feel Ashma is interested in politics, she had joined RPP , so i feel being miss nepal will definitely help her in her political career so hence she participated ? It’s just my analysis😅
