@kiashadowwave the specific shots you mention are actually taken in the kitchen under florescent lights as the cook was making the dish...I set the white balance to florescent to compensate, nothing fancy there. when using the light panel while in the dining room, it is typically the main source of light and overpowers any ambient light. it's also daylight balanced.

nice shots + good light but I hope that the chinese get onto the whole light panel thing shortly because those prices for what is basically an LED torch are unsustainable.. that needs to be at least below $100 and thats still too much.
