@@jackslc01the E train uses 10 cars trains of R160s. If R179s were to run on the E train, the sets would have come from the A Train. And the A train they would need them anyway as the R46s are being retired, and the R211As that it’s receiving won’t be enough replace the trains that run on the line. Even fleet swapping will highly be unlikely. As the 10 Car R160s at Jamaica Yard won’t be going anywhere.
